In one implementation, an image forming apparatus may include a photoconductive unit and a refresh unit. The photoconductive unit may include a photoconductive layer. The photoconductive layer may have a first polarity during a print routine. The refresh unit may apply a voltage to the photoconductive layer to electrically bias the photoconductive layer to have a second polarity during a refresh routine.

The corona discharging device corona-charges the photosensitive drum. The drum cover is turnable in a protective posture for covering the photosensitive drum and an exposure posture for exposing the photosensitive drum. When the drum unit is attached to the drum unit storage part, the drum cover is turned from the protective posture into the expose posture to block a flow path communicating a space around the corona charging device with an outside of the apparatus main body.
