Optical scanning device and image forming device

An optical scanning device includes a housing that houses an optical system for generating a light ray for optical scanning, and has a dustproof glass for emitting the light ray to an outside, and a cleaning system that is assembled to the housing and cleans the dustproof glass. The cleaning system includes a cleaning member, and a holder that holds the cleaning member, and with the holder moved in a specified movement direction relative to the dustproof glass, the cleaning member cleans the dustproof glass. The cleaning member includes a cleaner member that is adapted to contact a surface of the dustproof glass, and a pressing member that has a pressing surface for pressing the cleaner member toward the dustproof glass and is formed of an elastic body. In the movement direction, a width of the cleaner member is wider than a width of the pressing surface.

IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

An image forming apparatus to form a toner image on a recording material includes a photosensitive member and an optical scanning unit. The optical scanning unit includes an optical scanning unit, an optical box, a cover member, and a moving unit movable to an outside of the image forming apparatus. The optical scanning unit and the moving unit are arranged so that the moving unit and the optical scanning unit are opposed to each other when the moving unit is located in an inside of the image forming apparatus. The optical scanning unit is disposed so as to allow a user to touch the optical scanning unit through a space generated in the inside of the image forming apparatus when the moving unit is moved to the outside of the image forming apparatus. Between the optical box and the cover member, the cover member is opposed to the moving unit.

A laser scanning device includes a polygon mirror, one or more lenses, and a plurality of light shielding plates. The polygon mirror reflects a light beam during rotation of the polygon mirror. The lenses allow the light beam reflected off the polygon mirror to pass through the lenses. The plurality of light shielding plates are arranged at a distance from each other and block an undesirable beam, which is part of the light beam, reflected off at least one of the lenses and heading for an optical device. The plurality of light shielding plates form an air channel that allows an air current generated by the rotation of the polygon mirror to flow through the air channel.

IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

An image forming apparatus includes an image bearer, an exposure device, a (hive device, a cleaning body, and an exposure device holder. The exposure device is disposed on a motion trajectory between an exposure position and a retracted position and emits light to the image bearer via a lens having a lens surface at the exposure position. The drive device causes the exposure device to move between the exposure position and the retracted position. The cleaning body disposed on the motion trajectory of the exposure device tilts a cleaning surface when contacting with the lens surface of the exposure device. The exposure device holder supports the exposure device while changing an attitude of the exposure device such that the lens surface remains in contact with the cleaning surface of the cleaning body when the exposure device moves from the retracted position to the exposure position.
