Image forming method and image forming apparatus

An image forming method includes: forming a toner image on a sheet by using a toner including a first binder resin; and applying, to the toner image, a fixing solution capable of softening the first binder resin so as to fix the toner image to the sheet. The first binder resin is a condensate of a first alcohol component and a first carboxylic acid component. The first alcohol component contains 1,4-butanediol, and the first carboxylic acid component contains polyvalent carboxylic acid. A molar ratio of the 1,4-butanediol in the first alcohol component is not less than 30 mol %.

PAPER HUMIDIFIER AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
20180059616 · 2018-03-01 · ·

A paper humidifier includes a humidifying roller, a water supply roller, a suction roller and an intermediate roller. The humidifying roller comes in contact with a sheet and humidifies the sheet. The water supply roller is in contact with the humidifying roller and transfers water to the humidifying roller. The suction roller is partially dipped into water stored in a water reservoir. The intermediate roller is provided between the water supply roller and the suction roller, and is in contact with the water supply roller and the suction roller respectively. The intermediate roller is located above a liquid level of the water stored in the water reservoir. An outer peripheral surface of the suction roller, which rises out of the water stored in the water reservoir after being dipped in the water, rotates in a direction away from the water supply roller.

Fixing liquid

There is provided a fixing solution capable of improving fixing property while suppressing odor. The fixing solution includes: an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid ester; a polyethylene glycol alkyl ether; and water. The water is dispersed in the aliphatic dicarboxylic acid ester. The polyethylene glycol alkyl ether has not less than 4 pieces and not more than 12 pieces of an oxyethylene unit.

SILICONE FLUID BLEND FOR IMPREGNATING FUSER CLEANING WEB

A fuser fluid composition is disclosed, including a non-fluorinated functional silicone fluid, and a non-fluorinated non-functional silicone fluid, where the non-fluorinated functional silicone fluid is present in the fuser fluid composition in an amount of from about 1 wt % to about 30 wt % based on a total weight of the fuser fluid composition, and the non-fluorinated non-functional silicone fluid is present in the fuser fluid composition in an amount of from about 50 wt % to about 99 wt % based on a total weight of the fuser fluid composition. The non-fluorinated functional silicone fluid may include an amine-functional group. A cleaning web and a fusing subsystem for a printing system may include a material impregnated with the fuser fluid composition.

Image forming system

An image forming system includes an image forming apparatus, a varnish application apparatus, and a controller. The varnish application apparatus includes a varnish application unit configured to apply varnish to a recording material, a first conveyance unit configured to convey a recording material in a first conveyance path that passes through the varnish application unit, and a second conveyance unit configured to convey a recording material in a second conveyance path that does not pass through the varnish application unit. When failure is occurred to one or both of the varnish application unit and the first conveyance unit and failure is not occurred to the second conveyance unit, the controller is configured to permit execution of the second image forming job and to convey a recording material by the second conveyance unit in the varnish application apparatus.
