The controller is configured to permit the reversing operation if the controller receives an execution instruction of a double-sided reading job on a sheet having a first size, and prohibit the reversing operation if the controller receives an execution instruction of the double-sided reading job on a sheet having a second size smaller than the first size.
LAYER TRANSFER DEVICE
Disclosed is a layer transfer device for transferring a transfer layer onto a toner image formed on a sheet, in which a replacement of a film cartridge is easy for a user. The layer transfer device includes a housing, a film cartridge, and a holder. The film cartridge includes a supply reel including a supply shaft on which a multilayer film including a supported layer including a transfer layer, and a supporting layer supporting the supported layer is wound, and a take-up reel including a take-up shaft on which to take up the multilayer film. The holder supports the film cartridge, and is installable into and removable from the housing while supporting the film cartridge.
Electrostatic printing apparatus and electrostatic printing method
The present invention provides an electrostatic printing apparatus that can produce a conductive transparent electrode substrate for use in an organic EL device or the like, which is inexpensive and highly reliable. The electrostatic printing apparatus of the present invention includes a power supply (13), a conductive ejection unit (11) that ejects an ink for forming an insulating film to a target electrode (22), a control unit (12) that applies a bias voltage to the conductive ejection unit (11), and a pulse control unit (14) that applies a pulse voltage to the target electrode (22).
Optical device, image reading device, and imaging forming apparatus
An optical device includes: a lens body having multiple lenses arranged such that optical axes thereof are parallel to one another; a light-shielding wall that is disposed for the lens body and blocks, in an optical axis direction, portion of light directed to the multiple lenses; and a sheet member that covers a surface of the light-shielding wall, the surface being perpendicular to the optical axes, and allows light to pass therethrough.
LENS ARRAY UNIT, IMAGE SENSOR UNIT, IMAGE READING APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING LENS ARRAY UNIT
A lens array unit includes a lens array including a plurality of lenses, a first side plate, and a second side plate, the first side plate and the second side plate being configured to hold the plurality of lenses therebetween, and a frame made of resin and including a first supporting portion and a second supporting portion, the first supporting portion being in contact with an outside surface of the first side plate, the second supporting portion being in contact with an outside surface of the second side plate, the first supporting portion and the second supporting portion being configured to hold the lens array therebetween and support the lens array. The outside surface of the first side plate includes a plurality of first concave portions spaced from each other in an array direction of the lenses and configured to fit with the first supporting portion.
Image forming apparatus and image forming method
An image forming apparatus includes an oscillator configured to oscillate a laser beam, an irradiation portion configured to radiate the laser beam oscillated by the oscillator to an outside, a light absorption unit configured to absorb the laser beam and to convert the laser beam to heat, and a control unit including at least one processor and at least one memory. The control unit is configured to control the irradiation portion to press the irradiation portion against a workpiece via the light absorption unit and irradiating the workpiece with the laser beam via the light absorption unit, so as to perform image forming processing.
Embossing with printed relief pattern
An embossing apparatus includes an embossing die that includes a printed relief pattern made up of multiple layers of a deposited material. A resilient surface presses media against the embossing die such that embossed features corresponding to the embossing die are formed in the media. A method for embossing media includes forming an embossing die by depositing multiple layers of ink on a impression layer to form a relief pattern and pressing media against the embossing die to transfer the relief image to the media.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND IMAGE READING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes: a motor which is provided in a housing of the image forming apparatus; a first gear which includes a rotation shaft axially supported by the housing; a first bearing and a second bearing which support the rotation shaft of the first gear and are arranged on one side and the other side of the first gear; a second gear which includes a rotation shaft and meshes with the first gear; a rotating member to which the second gear is attached and which is rotatable with respect to the housing so as to be positioned at a first position at which the first gear and the second gear mesh with each other and at a second position at which the second gear is separated from the first gear; a third bearing and a fourth bearing which support the rotation shaft of the second gear and are arranged on one side and the other side of the second gear; and a holding member which is provided in the housing integrally holds the first bearing and the second bearing, the holding member having a first groove portion which is formed on a movement locus of the third bearing moving by the rotation of the rotating member, into which the third bearing enters when the rotating member moves from the second position to the first position, and which holds the third bearing when the rotating member is positioned at the first position, and the holding member having a second groove portion which is formed on a movement locus of the fourth bearing moving by the rotation of the rotating member, into which the fourth bearing enters when the rotating member moves from the second position to the first position, and which holds the fourth bearing when the rotating member is positioned at the first position.
Illumination device, line sensor assembly, reading apparatus, and printing apparatus
There is provided with an illumination device. The illumination device has a circuit board; a light source movable relative to the circuit board; a rod-like light guide that is configured to guide light from the light source and that is elongated in a longitudinal direction; and a flexible wiring configured to supply electricity from the circuit board to the light source. The light source is capable of moving in the longitudinal direction to reduce fluctuation in distance between the light source and a light receiving surface of the light guide when an end portion of the light guide in the longitudinal direction moves in the longitudinal direction.
