Image forming apparatus having image canceling function
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming part, a canceling processing part, a first switching processing part and a second switching processing part. The canceling processing part is performable an image canceling operation where a toner image formed on an intermediate transferring member is removed from the intermediate transferring member without transferred to a sheet. The first switching processing part is capable of switching a printing mode in the image forming part between a plurality of printing modes having different printing conditions in the image forming part, based on an image data under waiting for printing and a predetermined first switching condition. The second switching processing part is capable of switching the printing mode based on the image data under waiting for printing and a predetermined second switching condition when the image canceling operation is performed.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING METHOD, AND IMAGE FORMING MANAGEMENT APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit that forms an image on a transfer medium on the basis of image data, a feeder that feeds the transfer medium, and a control unit that manages image data and controls the image forming unit and the feeder. In a case where a base image and an overprint image are printed by the same image forming apparatus, the control unit can manage first image data of the base image and second image data of the overprint image by associating the data with each other, and when a jam of the transfer medium is detected during output of an overprint image, the control unit causes a transfer medium to which the base image is output by the image forming apparatus to be replenished for print instead of a jammed transfer medium removed by jam processing.
Interlock circuit
An interlock circuit comprises a plurality of semiconductor switching units electrically connected or connectable in series in a supply line, a plurality of control units electrically connected to the plurality of semiconductor switching units, and a trigger unit electrically connected to the plurality of control circuits. Each control unit activates or deactivates a corresponding semiconductor switching unit in response to trigger signal received from the trigger unit.
Image forming apparatus with a drive motor to drive a toner conveyance part and overcurrent prevention thereof
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming part, a toner storage part, a toner conveyance part, a drive motor and a control part. The image forming part forms an image on a sheet using a toner. The toner storage part stores the toner replenished to the image forming part. The toner conveyance part conveys the toner. The drive motor generates a drive force by which the toner conveyance part conveys the toner. The control part generates a control signal for controlling the drive motor, based on information showing a rotational speed of the drive motor. The control part executes a determination processing for determining whether a driving of the drive motor is stopped, based on the control signal.
Image generator and image generation method
There is a need to provide an image generator and an image generation method capable of avoiding wasting a normal printed matter if any in sheets of paper output after an occurrence of waste paper. When paper contains an abnormal image, the paper is detected as waste paper based on a read result from an image read sensor. Detection of the waste paper allows an image generator to perform reprint from a print job for the waste paper. Normal-image paper may be contained in sheets of paper output between detection of the waste paper and the reprint to be performed. In this case, the normal-image paper is used as a normal printed matter and is avoided from being consumed wastefully.
Technique for cooling heating element provided in image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus obtains an evaluation value correlating to an internal temperature, decreases the internal temperature by temporarily stopping an image forming unit based on the evaluation value, continuously runs the image forming unit based on the evaluation value, and controls the image forming unit such that the image forming unit intermittently forms an image on a sheet by repeatedly starting and stopping the image forming unit in a temperature rising suppression period.
STATUS DETERMINATION AND CONTROL OF TONER CARTRIDGE USING SENSOR
An example operation method of an image forming apparatus includes obtaining, from a sensor, an output signal corresponding to a degree of shrinkage of a transporting member that transports a developing agent in a toner cartridge, as the transporting member rotates, determining a state of the toner cartridge based on a characteristic of the output signal, and executing a recovery mode that increases a driving force delivered to the transporting member when determining that the state of the toner cartridge is an abnormal state in which toner is not normally supplied to a developing device.
Image forming apparatus to which container containing developer is detachably attached
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit configured to form an image using developer, a mount section on which a container containing the developer is mounted, a drive mechanism that includes a motor that rotates to supply the developer to the image forming unit from the container mounted on the mount section, and a controller configured to obtain an output value related to a load of the motor while rotating the motor without mounting the container on the mount section after the container is detached from the mount section, and detect a failure of the container detached from the mount section based on the output value.
PRINTING APPARATUS, METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A printing apparatus comprising a sheet conveyance path that includes a plurality of waiting positions at which a sheet in which printing has been performed on a first side in double-sided printing is caused to wait in order to print an image on a second side of the sheet, and is able to selectively execute first print control, second print control and third print control, retains information regarding a sheet to be fed in accordance with the first to third print control in a sheet feed wait queue, and selects and executes one of the first to third print control based on a printing order of single-sided printing and double-sided printing in the print job, the number of the plurality of waiting positions, and information retained in the sheet feed wait queue.
