An image forming apparatus includes: an image forming section; an image reading sensor and a colorimeter; a temperature sensor; a memory that stores a first color value and a second color value in a first color chart that has a larger number of patches than a second color chart; a processor that creates a scanner profile for converting a first color value into a second color value using color values obtained by the image reading sensor and the colorimeter, corrects the scanner profile according to the color values obtained by the image reading sensor and the colorimeter, and converts the first color value into the second color value using the corrected scanner profile.

An image forming apparatus includes a controller that causes an image reading device to suspend reading a source document, when a decider decides that a shortage value of a source image is equal to or larger than a first threshold, causes a display device to display a message that the first threshold is changed to a predetermined second threshold larger than the first threshold, stores the source image, or causes the image forming device to form the source image, when a reading resuming instruction, to resume reading the source document at least including the source document the reading of which has been suspended, is received by an operation device, and when the decider decides that the shortage value of the source image is smaller than the second threshold, and causes, when there is a next source document, the image reading device to read the next source document.

An image forming apparatus includes an image forming device, an image density detector, and an output change device configured to cause the image forming device to form a test toner image while cyclically changing a charging power based on a charging change pattern and a developing bias based on a developing change pattern, generate an image density fluctuation pattern of the test toner image in a rotation direction of the latent image bearer, generate a writing change pattern to cyclically change a power of latent image writing based on the image density fluctuation pattern of the test toner image and one of the charging change pattern and a correlative pattern correlated with the charging change pattern. The output change device is configured to cyclically change the power of latent image writing based on the writing change pattern during image formation according to a user command.

An image forming apparatus comprises: an image forming unit configured to form an image; an image scanning unit configured to scan an image; and a control unit configured to perform control of the image forming unit and the image scanning unit, wherein the control unit controls the image scanning unit to scan an original, controls the image forming unit to form an additional image on the original after the scanning of the original is completed, and controls the image forming unit to form, after the formation of the additional image on the original is completed, an image in which the original is copied based on image information of the original scanned by the image scanning unit.

A method of controlling the ejection speed of a print job that includes, with a density module of a printing device, determining a density classifier based on a region of a plane where print fluid is to be printed for a plurality of sheets of media of a print job; determining a percentage of each sheet of media exceeding a threshold density classifier relative to a total sheet count of the print job; and, based on the percentage, initiating an assisted ejection of the print job from the printing device.

An image forming apparatus includes an image forming portion, an image input portion, a transfer unit, a transfer voltage power supply, and a control portion. Methods relating generally to textured printing are disclosed. In a method, at least one object or object outline in an image is identified using an artificial intelligence engine. A sub image is generated for the at least one object or object outline. The image and the sub image are processed to convert into image information and associated position information for the sub image in relation to the image for textured printing. The image information and the position information are stored in a memory for the textured printing.
