Image forming apparatus capable of adjusting image forming condition accurately, and image forming condition adjustment method
An image forming apparatus includes a transfer processing portion, a detection processing portion, a correction processing portion, and an adjustment processing portion. The transfer processing portion transfers a detection toner image to outside an output area of a transfer object to which a toner image as an output target is transferred from an image-carrying member. The detection processing portion detects a density of the detection toner image that has been transferred to the transfer object by the transfer processing portion. The correction processing portion corrects a detection result of the detection processing portion based on an amount of toner transferred from the image-carrying member to the output area at a transfer timing when the detection toner image is transferred. The adjustment processing portion adjusts an image forming condition based on the detection result after correction by the correction processing portion.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a plurality of image forming portions; a rotatable endless belt; a plurality of stretching rollers including an inner roller and a steering roller; an outer roller; a steering mechanism; a position changing mechanism; and a controller. In a case that a changing operation for changing a position of the inner roller is performed by the position changing mechanism during execution of a job for forming the toner images on a plurality of recording materials, the controller controls the steering mechanism so that a tilting operation for tilting the steering roller in a predetermined amount in interrelation with the changing operation is executed.
METHOD FOR CORRECTING POSITIONAL SHIFT OF IMAGE
An image forming apparatus receive light from an intermediate transfer member or correction pattern. The pattern includes an overlapping pattern on which a first monochromatic toner image is formed as a lower layer and a second monochromatic toner image having a smaller area than the first monochromatic toner image is formed as an upper layer. The image forming apparatus controls a plurality of image forming units to form the overlapping pattern such that a dynamic range becomes less than 1.0 and larger than 0.5.
Color measurement device that avoids dirt on reference surface of white reference plate and image forming apparatus
A color measurement device includes a conveying roller unit that conveys a sheet in a conveying direction, a color sensor that is movable in a direction orthogonal to the conveying direction and measures a color of an image formed on the sheet, a white reference plate having a reference surface for measurement by the color sensor for calibration of the color sensor, lifting rollers that move with the color sensor and retain the sheet, and slid-on members that protrude to a level higher than the reference surface in a perpendicular direction to the reference surface. When the color sensor moves such that at least part of the lifting rollers overlaps the white reference plate as viewed from the perpendicular direction, the lifting rollers are brought into contact with the slid-on members, whereby a space is formed between the lifting rollers and the reference surface.
Reading apparatus
There is provided a reading apparatus that includes a conveyance roller, a light source, a light transmission member, a line sensor having a plurality of pixels and configured to receive reflected light from a sheet via the light transmission member while the sheet is conveyed by the conveyance roller, and a controller. The controller is configured to perform acquiring an output value of a first pixel, an output value of a second pixel, and an output value of a third pixel, determine a first value based on the output value of the second pixel and a first coefficient, determine a second value based on the output value of the third pixel and a second coefficient, and determine read data based on the output value of the first pixel, the first value, and the second value. The first coefficient is larger than the second coefficient.
Image forming device having drawer
An image forming device, including: a drawer movable from an inside position where the drawer is located inside a housing to an outside position where the drawer is located outside the housing via an intermediate position; a stopper movable between a first position where the stopper stops the drawer from moving from the intermediate position to the outside position and a second position where the stopper allows the drawer to move from the intermediate position to the outside position; a drum cartridge mountable on the drawer; and a toner cartridge mountable on the drawer; wherein the toner cartridge mounted on the drawer is detachable from the drawer in a state in which the drawer is located at the intermediate position, and wherein the drum cartridge mounted on the drawer is detachable from the drawer in a state in which the drawer is located at the outside position.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS THAT PROVIDES MANAGEMENT APPARATUS WITH DATA THAT CAN BE UTILIZED FOR DATA ANALYSIS, CONTROL METHOD FOR THE IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, STORAGE MEDIUM, AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
An image forming apparatus capable of providing a management apparatus with data that can be utilized for data analysis other than detection of signs of abnormality while keeping down costs required to build and maintain a communication environment. The image forming apparatus has a sensor. In the image forming apparatus, second data for use in detecting a sign of abnormality is generated based on first data comprised of measured values obtained by the sensor. The second data is transmitted directly or indirectly to the management apparatus that detects the sign of abnormality. Wherein, the second data is data that indicates characteristics of the image forming apparatus and has a smaller data amount that that of the first data.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an image bearing member, an intermediary transfer belt, a transfer member, a voltage source for applying a voltage to the transfer member, a detecting portion for detecting a current flowing through the transfer member, and a controller for carrying out constant-voltage control so that the voltage applied to the transfer member becomes a target voltage when a recording material P passes through a transfer portion. The controller is capable of changing the voltage applied to the transfer member so that a detection result detected by the detecting portion during transfer falls within a predetermined range. The controller changes the predetermined range on the basis of the detection result detected by the detecting portion when the voltage is applied to the transfer member in a state in which the recording material P is absent in the transfer portion.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes an image bearing member, an exposure unit, a developing member, and a control unit. The exposure unit exposes a surface of the image bearing member to light to form an electrostatic latent image. The developing member develops the electrostatic latent image by using toner to form a toner image. In image formation based on input image data, the control unit uses the exposure unit to control a maximum gradation value of the toner image to be formed on the image bearing member surface, based on a repetition length of a dither pattern. The control unit performs control so that the maximum gradation value is larger in a case where a first dither pattern having a first length as the repetition length is used than where a second dither pattern having a second length longer than the first length as the repetition length is used.
