IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS CAPABLE OF FORMING IMAGE ON SHEET WITH UNEVEN SURFACE, TRANSFER CURRENT ADJUSTMENT METHOD
An image forming apparatus includes a change processing portion, a detection processing portion, a second acquisition processing portion, and an adjustment processing portion. The change processing portion changes a transfer current when a plurality of specific toner images which each include a toner layer of C formed on an image-carrying member and a toner layer of M are each transferred to a sheet. The detection processing portion detects a specific image that corresponds to each specific toner image included in the captured image of the sheet. The second acquisition processing portion acquires, for each of detected specific images, a skewness of a histogram of gradation values of a color mixture of M and Y in pixels included in each of the specific images. The adjustment processing portion adjusts the transfer current based on: the skewness acquired for each of the specific images; and the transfer current corresponding to the skewness.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, TRANSFER DEVICE, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An image forming device comprising circuitry. The circuitry generates an image pattern in which two or more types of patch images are combined and changes a value of image data around at least one type of patch image of the two or more types of patch images to less than a maximum value of image data of the at least one type of patch image when the two or more types of patch images are combined.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit configured to form an image on a sheet, a discharge conveyance path configured to discharge the sheet on which the image is formed by the image forming unit to outside, a reverse conveyance path configured to reverse a conveyance direction of the conveyed sheet and convey the sheet, a first conveyance path configured to guide the sheet conveyed from the image forming unit to the reverse conveyance path, a second conveyance path configured to guide the sheet reversed in the reverse conveyance path from the reverse conveyance path to the discharge conveyance path, and a reading unit configured to read the image of the sheet in the second conveyance path.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD THEREOF, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
This disclosure provides an image processing apparatus that is connected to a printing apparatus, sequentially receives a plurality of recording media on which printing was performed by the printing apparatus, and inspects a quality of images formed on the recording media, wherein the image processing apparatus receives a reference image, acquires a plurality of scanned images by sequentially scanning the recording media output from the printing apparatus and having the images to be inspected recorded thereon, receives phase information of an image bearing member of the printing apparatus, detects, for each of the scanned images, a defect on the scanned image by comparing a pixel value of the reference image and a pixel value of the scanned image, and determines whether a defect has reproducibility based on positions of defects on the recording media calculated from the phase information.
IMAGE READING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS INCORPORATING SAME
An image reading device includes a sensor and circuitry. The sensor reads an image on a recording medium. The circuitry inspects the image and outputs an inspection result. The circuitry excludes an area of the recording medium as a first area from an area to be inspected, based on a type of the recording medium or a position of the recording medium with respect to a reading position at which the sensor reads the image, to determine a second area to be inspected. The circuitry outputs the inspection result based on the second area.
Image forming system and abnormal sheet information display method
An image forming system includes: a sheet feeder; an image former that forms an image on a paper sheet; a conveyor that conveys a paper sheet to a sheet ejection destination; a switcher that switches sheet ejection destinations; a reader that optically reads a paper sheet, and outputs a read image; an abnormal sheet detector that detects an abnormal paper sheet by analyzing the read image; a storage; a display; and a hardware processor that performs: ejection destination switch control to control the switcher to eject an abnormal paper sheet and a succeeding paper sheet to a second ejection destination different from a regular ejection destination; storage control, for each of the abnormal paper sheet and the succeeding paper sheet, to associate sheet information, the read image, and a stacking order with one another, and store them into the storage; and display control to cause the display to display them.
Printing system for media with non-uniform thickness
A printing system for printing on sheets of media having a non-uniform thickness profile. A user interface is controlled to instruct the operator to load a media tray with a stack of media having a specified pattern of media orientations. A media transport system picks sequential sheets of media from the media tray. A front end supplies sequential image data having orientations in accordance with the specified pattern of media orientations. A printing module sequentially prints the supplied image data on the sheets of media in accordance with the specified pattern of media orientations.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM, AND NON-TRANSITORY RECORDING MEDIUM STORING COMPUTER READABLE CONTROL PROGRAM
An image forming apparatus includes: a transferer that transfers a toner image on an image carrier formed by an image former onto a paper sheet; a fixer that heats and thereby fixes the toner image on the paper sheet; a read image acquisitor that acquires read image data of the paper sheet on a downstream side of the fixer in a conveyance direction, the read image data being generated by a reader that reads an image of the paper sheet; and a hardware processor that: controls a conveyance speed of the paper sheet in the transferer and/or the fixer, and changes or updates the conveyance speed based on an image of the acquired read image data.
