In one example of the disclosure, a first transfer of ink is made from a photoconductor to a blanket in contact with the photoconductor. The blanket is to cycle along a path. The first transfer occurs at a first arc of the blanket path. A second transfer of the ink is made from the blanket to a media in contact with the blanket. The second transfer occurs at a second arc of the blanket path. A heat source located adjacent to a third arc of the blanket path is utilized to heat an external surface of the blanket. The heating is to occur following the second transfer of the ink.

A toner container includes a container body, an opening, a cover, a toner discharge port, a shutter, a cylindrical structure, protrusions, and an identifier. The shutter is attached to the cover and includes a main shutter covering the toner discharge port. The main shutter moves between a closed position to close the toner discharge port and an open position to open the toner discharge port. The protrusions are on both sides of the cover and protrude in a direction orthogonal to a toner container mounting direction. The identifier is on the cover to indicate a toner color. The cylindrical structure's leading end is downstream of leading ends of the protrusions in the mounting direction. The main shutter's leading end is downstream of the protrusions' leading ends in the mounting direction when the main shutter is in the closed position. The protrusions are downstream of the identifier in the mounting direction.

IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a first casing, a second casing, a support portion, an indication, and a USB port. The first casing includes a sheet discharge tray disposed at a top surface thereof. The indication is located at a portion of one of the top surface of the first casing and the support portion, and is positioned outside the sheet discharge tray in a width direction. The portion is located closer to one end of the image forming apparatus in the width direction than the other end of the image forming apparatus opposite to the one end in the width direction. The USB port is disposed at a portion of one of the second casing and the support portion closer to the one end than the other end in the width direction, and is located at a different position in an up-down direction from the indication.
Image forming system with strain detection
An image forming system includes an image forming apparatus including a housing where an image forming unit is provided and a strain detector, a hardware processor, and a storage. The strain detector detects strain of a bottom plate of the housing. The processor and the storage are included in or provided outside the image forming apparatus. The processor obtains a first detection signal from the detector, stores strain measured data based on the first detection signal as reference data in the storage, obtains a second detection signal from the detector after storing the reference data, compares strain measured data based on the second detection signal with the reference data, and determines whether adjustment of a supporting point height of the bottom plate to reduce the strain due to change over time from a time of the obtainment of the reference data is required.
Image Forming Apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes first and second casings, a support portion, a control panel, and a USB port. The first casing houses an image forming unit and includes a sheet discharge tray configured to support a sheet discharged by a discharge roller. The second casing is disposed above the first casing, and houses an image scanner. The support portion is disposed at a top surface of the first casing such that the support portion support raises the second casing, and partially defines an open portion that enables an access to the sheet discharged on the sheet discharge tray. The control panel is disposed at the second casing. A downstream end portion of the control panel is positioned downstream of the discharge roller in a discharging direction. The USB port is positioned above the sheet discharge tray, and overlaps, when viewed from the top, with the sheet discharge tray.

According to one embodiment, an image forming apparatus includes a developing device, a sensor, a control information obtaining unit, and a control unit. The developing device forms an image on an image carrier using a developer. The sensor generates a signal indicating a measurement value related to the developer. The control information obtaining unit obtains, as control information of the developing device, one or more pieces of the control information pre-associated with the measurement value, from a recording medium associated with the developer. The control unit selects the control information associated with the measurement value indicated by the signal, from the one or more pieces of control information obtained from the recording medium. The control unit controls an operation of the developing device based on the selected control information.
