IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS THAT CONTROLS SHEET INTERVAL

An image forming apparatus includes a conveyance member to convey a sheet, an image forming unit, a fixing device, a component, and a controller. The image forming unit forms a toner image on the conveyed sheet conveyed. The fixing device fixes an unfixed toner image formed on the sheet, onto the sheet. Heat of the fixing device propagates to the component. The controller controls a passing sheet interval between a plurality of sheets passing through the fixing device. The controller executes throughput control for controlling a sheet interval, which is an interval between a preceding sheet and a subsequent sheet passing through the fixing device, such that a temperature of a non-passage region through which sheets do not pass in the fixing device is suppressed to a predetermined first limit temperature or less and a temperature of the component is suppressed to a predetermined second limit temperature or less.

IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND COMMUNICATION DEVICE
20240296303 · 2024-09-05 ·

According to one embodiment, an image forming apparatus includes a communication device, a printer, and a processor. The printer prints images on a medium. The communication device transmits data to, and receives data from, a radio tag on the medium. The processor is configured to control the communication device to read tag identification information from the radio tag. If the tag identification information read from the radio tag is already included on a list, the communication device is controlled to attempt to read tag identification information from another radio tag. If the tag identification information read from the radio tag is not yet included on the list, the communication device is controlled to write data to the radio tag, and the printer is controlled to print an image on the medium.

An image forming apparatus receives a print setting for image data, determines a density correction table to be applied to a position of a pixel in the image data based on the received print setting from among a plurality of stored density correction tables, and corrects a density of the image data using the determined density correction table.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PREVENTING AN INFORMATION STORAGE DEVICE FROM FALLING FROM A REMOVABLE DEVICE

A toner container includes a container body, an opening, a cover, a toner discharge port, a shutter, a cylindrical structure, protrusions, and an identifier. The shutter is attached to the cover and includes a main shutter covering the toner discharge port. The main shutter moves between a closed position to close the toner discharge port and an open position to open the toner discharge port. The protrusions are on both sides of the cover and protrude in a direction orthogonal to a toner container mounting direction. The identifier is on the cover to indicate a toner color. The cylindrical structure's leading end is downstream of leading ends of the protrusions in the mounting direction. The main shutter's leading end is downstream of the protrusions' leading ends in the mounting direction when the main shutter is in the closed position. The protrusions are downstream of the identifier in the mounting direction.

IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD OF THE SAME

An image forming apparatus includes a detection section, an identification section, an acquisition section and a restriction section. The detection section detects an approach of a user. The identification section identifies the user detected by the detection section. The acquisition section acquires statistics determined from a use count of the user identified by the identification section. The restriction section restricts execution of a warm-up control based on the statistics acquired by the acquisition section.

A developer container includes a memory device with a first marker; and a main body with a second marker, the main body being configured to accommodate a developer. The memory device is attached to the main body such that both the first marker and the second marker are visually recognized.

Apparatus and method for preventing an information storage device from falling from a removable device

An information storage device installed in a removable device configured to be removably installed in an image forming apparatus body, includes: an information storage unit that stores information communicated between the image forming apparatus body and the removable device; a terminal that comes in contact with a body side terminal; and a substrate that holds the information storage unit and the terminal and includes a hole configured to be engaged with a protruding section installed in the image forming apparatus body. The terminal includes a plurality of terminals each including one of a plurality of metallic plates arranged in a transverse direction thereof. An earth terminal, which comes in contact with a body side earth terminal formed in the protruding section, is formed in the hole. The hole is disposed at a position sandwiched between two metallic plates among the plurality of metallic plates.

ELECTRONIC APPARATUS, STORAGE MEDIUM STORING COMPUTER PROGRAM, AND METHOD OF PERFORMING SETTINGS OF ELECTRONIC APPARATUS

An electronic apparatus performs: acquiring an input file name from a removable memory connected to an interface; determining whether the input file name includes a first character string and whether the input file name includes a second character string; when the input file name includes the first character string, changing current setting information into specified setting information, the current setting information being among a plurality of setting information stored in the internal memory and corresponding to a first setting item specified by first input information, the specified setting information being included in the first input information and corresponding to the first setting item; and when the input file name includes the second character string, acquiring current setting information corresponding to a second setting item specified by second input information; and storing, in the removable memory, a file including output information indicating the acquired current setting information, as an output file.

IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS WITH DETACHABLE FIXING DEVICE
20180046134 · 2018-02-15 ·

An image forming apparatus with a detachable fixing device that is capable of printing with high quality without printing wastefully. A storage unit stores identification information about a fixing device in association with an attribute of a sheet that is printable with the fixing device concerned. A control unit executes printing when the storage unit does not store an attribute of a sheet corresponding to a fixing device that is currently attached to the image forming apparatus. The control unit determines whether to execute printing according to an attribute of a sheet used in printing and an attribute of a sheet stored in the storage unit when the storage unit stores the attribute of the sheet corresponding to the fixing device that is currently attached to the image forming apparatus.
