IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM AND PRINTING METHOD FOR IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
An image forming system includes: a sheet feeder that feeds a sheet; a conveyor that conveys the sheet through a conveyance path; an acquirer that acquires information on an actual size of the sheet; an image former that forms an image on the sheet conveyed through the conveyance path; and a hardware processor, in which the hardware processor controls a first process on the basis of the actual size acquired by the acquirer, the first process being controlled based on an end of the sheet separately from image formation based on a print job.
Image forming device and image forming method
Provided is a technique that can suitably form a cut line. According to one embodiment, an image forming device includes a line information generation unit and an image forming unit. The line information generation unit generates line information representing a cut line to cut out a main image formed on a recording medium. The image forming unit forms the main image with a non-decolorable material on the recording medium and forms the cut line represented by the line information with a decolorable material on the recording medium. The line information generation unit changes a level of curving of a curve included in the cut line, according to the recording medium.
Image forming apparatus and method to form an invisible image and a visible image in a multi-pass simplex manner
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming device that forms an image on a recording medium and circuitry that controls the image forming device. The image forming device forms an invisible image with an invisible material on the recording medium and forms a visible image with a visible material on the invisible image. Each of first and second adhesion amounts includes respective adhesion amounts of the visible material and the invisible material per unit area in a portion, in which the visible image is formed on the invisible image, of the composite image. The second adhesion amount is smaller than the first adhesion amount. The controller adjusts the amount of the invisible material included in the second adhesion amount to be smaller than that included in the first adhesion amount, to cause the image forming device to form the image according to the second adhesion amount.
Image forming apparatus forming image on sheet according to sheet type
An image forming apparatus for a first purpose forms an image on a sheet, according to a sheet type. The image forming apparatus for the first purpose includes a conversion device and an image forming device. The conversion device converts second information for defining the sheet type in association with another image forming apparatus for a second purpose different from the first purpose, into third information of a same format as the first information for defining the sheet type in association with the image forming apparatus for the first purpose. The image forming device forms an image on the sheet P according to the third information, when the sheet P, the sheet type of which has been defined by the second information, is designated. The first information and the third information each define the sheet type more detailedly than the second information.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS FOR FORMING TONER IMAGE FOR ADHERING FOIL ONTO SHEET
An image forming unit forms a toner image on a sheet. An input unit accepts a selection of a first mode for forming the toner image for adhering foil onto the sheet via the toner image, and an input of information related to a margin area set to be an area where the toner image is not formed by the image forming unit on the sheet. A display unit displays a warning according to the information related to the margin area in a case where the first mode is selected by the input unit.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS CAPABLE OF DETERMINING WHETHER OR NOT TO-BE-TRANSFERRED TONER IMAGE WILL STICK OUT FROM CONTACT AREA OF IMAGE-CARRYING MEMBER WITH SHEET, AND DETERMINATION METHOD
An image forming apparatus includes an image-carrying member, a transfer portion, a movement processing portion, and a determination processing portion. The image-carrying member conveys a toner image including a to-be-transferred toner image. The transfer portion transfers the to-be-transferred toner image onto a sheet that comes into contact with the image-carrying member. The movement processing portion causes a formation target image corresponding to the to-be-transferred toner image, that is included in image data used for forming the toner image, to move within the image data. The determination processing portion determines whether or not the to-be-transferred toner image that is based on the moved formation target image will stick out from a contact area of the image-carrying member that comes into contact with the sheet.
Print system, printing apparatus and method of controlling the printing apparatus, and storage medium
A print system prints an image on a sheet according to a print job, stores a reference image in a storage, generates a scanned image by reading a printed sheet, inspects an image on the printed sheet, and detects sheet outage in a paper feeding unit that is a feed source for the print job. In a case the print job is accompanied by inspection, the sheet outage is detected in the paper feeding unit that is the feed source, and the reference image is generated by using print data of the print job, a screen is displayed to select a paper feeding unit that stores sheets whose size matches a sheet size set for the paper feeding unit that is the feed source, regardless of whether a type of the sheets matches a sheet type set for the paper feeding unit that is the feed source.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A mechanism selects a sheet holding unit storing a sheet having a length equal to or larger than a predetermined value in the main scanning direction at the time of printing from among a plurality of sheet holding units storing a plurality of sheets, thus improving convenience in printing an adjustment image. A method for controlling an image processing apparatus includes determining whether a length of a sheet stored in each of a plurality of sheet holding units in a main scanning direction at a time of printing is equal to or larger than a predetermined value, selecting at least one sheet holding unit from among sheet holding units determined to be storing a sheet having a length equal to or larger than the predetermined value, conveying a sheet from the or one of the selected sheet holding unit, and printing an adjustment image on the conveyed sheet.
IIMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND METHOD AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM FOR CONTROLLING SAME
An image forming apparatus includes: a sheet feeder; a reading device that takes a reading of a sheet fed from the sheet feeder; and a controller. The controller performs steps including: for each tray of the sheet feeder, managing sheet information including a reference reading value as a reference for the reading by the reading device; when switching from a first tray to another tray, selecting a second tray such that predetermined items of the sheet information match between the first and second trays; instructing the reading device to take a reading of a sheet fed from the second tray; calculating a correction value of a position of an image to be formed on the sheet fed from the second tray based on a quantity of change in the reading value relative to the reference reading value included in the sheet information of the second tray.
Image forming apparatus that forms antibacterial region on recording material
An image forming apparatus may include a holding container that holds a toner containing an antibacterial agent, and an image forming unit that forms an antibacterial region by applying the toner supplied from the holding container to a recording material by performing an image forming process. The antibacterial region is formed on a partial region that is a partial region of a first surface of the recording material and that is likely to be touched by a user's finger
