Developer cartridge with counting mechanism
The invention provides a developer cartridge with a counting mechanism. The developer cartridge comprises a developer and the counting mechanism, wherein the counting mechanism is provided with protrusions which come in contact with a contact lever on an electronic photographing device so as to count the developer cartridge; and each protrusion has a first position and a second position in the direction perpendicular to a side wall of the developer cartridge, and is, in the first position, in contact with the contact lever, but is not, in the second position, in contact with the contact lever. The working principle of the developer cartridge adopting the counting mechanism is greatly different from the prior art. Therefore, the structure of the counting mechanism of the developer cartridge is simpler and more convenient and reliable; the production precision and the production cost are reduced; and the market competitiveness of the developer cartridge is improved.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus has a photosensitive drum configured to bear a developer image, a developing apparatus having a developing roller that bears developer and a developing blade that regulates the amount of the developer on the developing roller, and a detection portion that detects information on the amount of the developer stored in the developing apparatus. The image forming apparatus performs a discharging operation for discharging a coating agent, applied to a developing roller in an unused state, from the developing apparatus to the photosensitive drum, while varying an operational condition for the discharging operation varied based on the information.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus forms a first image by adjusting a photosensitive member potential to a first charging potential and adjusting a developing potential to a first developing potential, and forms a second image by adjusting the member potential to a second charging potential, adjusting the developing potential to a second developing potential, but not causing an exposure unit to expose a photosensitive member, and forms a third image by adjusting the developing potential to a third developing potential, but not causing a charging unit to charge the member, and not causing the exposure unit to expose the member, and detects a streak image based on read data of the first, second and third images, and read data corresponding to a non-image region of the test sheet.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD
According to one embodiment, an image forming apparatus includes a plurality of parts, an acquisition unit, and a control unit. The plurality of parts are used in the image forming process and are replaced according to the degree of use. The acquisition unit acquires, for each of the parts, use-related information that is information indicating the degree of use of the plurality of parts. The control unit determines the replacement timing of the part using the plurality of pieces of use-related information acquired by the acquisition unit and the determination condition regarding the replacement timing of the part.
Method for scheduling a reload of supply material in a printing system
A method for scheduling a reload of a supply material in a printing system including a print engine capable of printing at a settable print velocity while using the supply material, a control unit for controlling a print job queue comprising at least one print job scheduled to be printed by means of a scheduling scheme while using the supply material, a supply material input holder for holding the supply material, and a user interface for interacting with a user of the printing system. The method includes determining a plurality of moments in time that the supply material input holder is empty, and simultaneously scheduling for each determined moment in time of the plurality of moments in time a reload event of reloading the supply material input holder with the supply material in the scheduling scheme. The plurality of moments in time is determined by taking into account the total planned usage of the supply material from the supply material input holder according to print job specifications of the at least one print job scheduled in the print job queue and a capacity of the supply material input holder with respect to the properties of the supply material, and each of the determined moments in time is established on the basis of the settable print velocity of the printing system with respect to the at least one print job in the print job queue.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND CONTROL PROGRAM
An image forming apparatus includes: an image carrier that carries and transports a latent image; a charging member that is arranged to be in contact with a surface of the image carrier; a developing device that supplies toner to the image carrier and forms a toner image; a density detection unit that detects a density of the toner image; a pattern detection unit that detects a predetermined density variation pattern based on a detection result of the density detection unit according to the toner image; and a determination unit that determines a state of the charging member based on the number of the predetermined density variation patterns detected within a predetermined period of time.
Image forming device and medium detecting mechanism thereof
An image forming device includes a casing and a medium detecting mechanism. A medium entrance is formed on the casing. The medium detecting mechanism includes a detector, a first pivoting component, a second pivoting component and a resilient component. When at least one medium enters into the medium entrance and abuts against the first pivoting component, the at least one medium drives the first pivoting component to pivot in a first pivoting direction, so that the second pivoting component is driven by the resilient component to pivot in the first pivoting direction to actuate the detector for generating a signal. When the second pivoting component is stopped from pivoting in the first pivoting direction, deformation of the resilient component allows the first pivoting component to be driven by the at least one medium to pivot relative to the second pivoting component in the first pivoting direction continuously.
Image forming apparatus capable of controlling extension of use of drum cartridge
An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus body, a toner cartridge, a replaceable part, a controller and an apparatus body memory. An operating mode of the controller is set to one of a subscription mode and a normal mode. The controller is configured to perform processes in accordance with the set operating mode. The apparatus body memory is configured to store life information indicating a remaining life of the replaceable part attached to the apparatus body. The controller is configured to switch a control between: a control for allowing an extended use of the replaceable part; and a control for restricting the extended use of the replaceable part, according to the set operating mode. The extended use is defined as use of the replaceable part even after the replaceable part exceeds the remaining life indicated by the life information stored in the apparatus body memory.
MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, MONITORING APPARATUS, METHODS THEREFOR, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A management system according to the aspect of the embodiments performs expiration date management of consumables delivered for a forming apparatus to be managed, based on an expiration date for consumption after manufacturing of each consumable and an expiration date for consumption after opening of each consumable. The management system then automatically makes arrangement for collecting expired consumables.
