An illuminating device capable of stably illuminating an irradiated object such as a document while suppressing light loss with a simply structure is provided. An LED array and a reflective plate are disposed sandwiching a slit (St) through which light reflected by a document MS passes and a light-guiding member is disposed on the side of the LED array. The light-guiding member includes a direct emission unit disposed between an illumination range y centered on a document reading position and the LED array and an indirect emission unit disposed between the reflective plate and the LED array, a light incidence face of the direct emission unit and a light incidence face of the indirect emission unit are disposed at mutually different position around the LED array, and the LED array is disposed on a side of an interior angle formed by the light incidence faces.
Driving apparatus, driving system, robot, image forming apparatus, and conveying apparatus
A driving apparatus allowing two motors to drive a same driving shaft is provided. When a voltage command value is less than a predetermined threshold, a control unit outputs driving command values based on one control pattern such that a direction of a torque of one of the motors becomes different from a driving direction of the driving shaft. Also, when the voltage command value becomes greater than or equal to the predetermined threshold, the control unit outputs the driving command values based on another control pattern, such that the direction of the torque of the one of the motors becomes the same as the driving direction of the driving shaft when the voltage command value is greater than or equal to the predetermined threshold, and does not become different from the driving direction of the driving shaft when the voltage command value drops below the predetermined threshold.
Image forming apparatus, image forming system, control method for image forming apparatus, and program
An image forming apparatus includes: a conveyer that conveys continuous paper; an image creator that outputs an image onto the continuous paper, a heat source that imparts heat to the continuous paper; and a hardware processor that controls a printing action for forming an image on the continuous paper conveyed in a forward direction by the conveyer, using the image creator and the heat source, wherein when interrupting the printing action, the hardware processor performs withdrawal control in which the continuous paper is conveyed in a reverse direction such that a final image formed on the continuous paper before interruption of the printing action reaches a withdrawal position defined upstream of the heat source in the forward direction.
DECOLORING APPARATUS AND METHOD
A decoloring apparatus includes a sheet conveying unit, a scanner, a decoloring unit, and a controller. The decoloring unit decolors the image on the sheet conveyed through the sheet conveying unit. The decoloring unit is positioned downstream of the scanner in a sheet conveying direction. A distance along the sheet conveying direction between the scanner and the decoloring unit is shorter than a length of a first predetermined sheet size and longer than a length of a second predetermined sheet size. A controller determines whether the sheet conveyed by the sheet conveying unit is the first predetermined sheet size or the second predetermined sheet size. The controller performs a mode limiting process if the sheet size is determined to be the first predetermined sheet size.

Image forming apparatus and image forming method in which distances between image bearing members and transfer belt vary depending on mode
An image forming apparatus can inhibit an occurrence of downtime or shorten the downtime even in a case in which a mode for performing image formation and a position of, for example, a primary transfer member does not match. The image forming apparatus includes photosensitive drums each configured to bear a toner image, primary transfer members, an intermediate transfer belt, an abutment/separation mechanism configured to move the primary transfer members, and a controller. The controller brings the primary transfer members into contact with the photosensitive drums in a full-color mode, separates the primary transfer members from the photosensitive drums in a monochrome mode, and sets the position of the primary transfer members to a predetermined position between that in the full-color mode and the monochrome mode in a standby mode.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, DOCUMENT READING DEVICE AND CONVEYANCE METHOD
An image forming apparatus comprises a tray, a conveyor, a detector and a movement mechanism. The tray accommodates at least one document. The conveyor conveys the document placed on the tray. The detector detects that the document is placed on the tray. The movement mechanism moves the tray from a first position to a second position closer to the conveyor than the first position based on the detection that the document is placed on the tray, and after moving the tray from the first position to the second position, moves the tray to the first position based on a setting of a mixed stacking mode in which mixing of the documents with different sizes on the tray is permitted.
Sheet transport apparatus, automatic document feeder, and image forming apparatus
A sheet transport apparatus is equipped with a sheet transport guide section for guiding a sheet to be transported. The sheet transport guide section includes a first transport guide member swingable about a first axis, and a second transport guide member swingable about a second axis, the second transport guide member forming a sheet transport path between the second transport guide member and the first transport guide member. The second transport guide member is arranged at a first position when the first transport guide member is closed, at a second position where the second transport guide member is opened from the first position when the first transport guide member is opened, or at a third position where the second transport guide member is opened from the second position.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes: an image forming unit that forms an image onto a recording medium; an image reading unit that is disposed above the image forming unit in an up-down direction, transports a document, and reads an image formed on the document; a first output section that is provided in a connection section connecting the image forming unit and the image reading unit to each other in the up-down direction and to which the document read by the image reading unit and transported in a width direction of the image forming unit is output; a second output section that is provided below the first output section in the connection section and to which the recording medium having the image formed thereon by the image forming unit is output; and a rotating member that serves as a front portion of the first output section in a depth direction of the image forming unit, is rotatable by a rotating shaft disposed at an upstream side in an output direction of the document, and switches between an output position from which the document is output and a descent position to which a downstream end of the rotating member in the output direction descends relative to the output position.
Image reading apparatus
An image reading apparatus includes a roller that transports a document; a reading unit that reads an image of the document which is transported; a DC motor that drives the roller; and a control unit that controls the DC motor. The control unit is configured to stop driving of the DC motor in a case where a driving load value obtained when the DC motor is driven exceeds a threshold. A first threshold which is applied in a case of a first document and a second threshold which is applied in a case of a second document of which a basis weight is larger than a first basis weight are set, and the first threshold is less than the second threshold.
