An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: receive multiple print instructions; and generate a new print instruction including the multiple received print instructions, the new print instruction being an instruction in which at least one predetermined page is added to the top or end of a second print instruction, the second print instruction having a page count less than the page count of a first print instruction, the page count of the first print instruction being the highest among the multiple print instructions, the at least one added, predetermined page having a page count equal to the difference between the page count of the first print instruction and the page count of the second print instruction.

A sheet processing apparatus includes a sensing processing portion, a determination processing portion, an acquisition processing portion, an acceptance processing portion, and a setting processing portion. The sensing processing portion senses a sheet size. The determination processing portion determines whether the sheet size corresponds to any of a plurality of standard sizes based on a result of the sensing by the sensing processing portion. The acquisition processing portion acquires sheet attribute information that is determined for each sheet type based on a result of the determination by the determination processing portion or the result of the sensing by the sensing processing portion. The acceptance processing portion accepts a selection operation of selecting any of the acquired sheet attribute information. The setting processing portion sets a processing condition of a sheet based on the sheet attribute information selected by the selection operation.

A sheet feeding apparatus includes a supporting portion to support a sheet, a feeding portion to feed the supported sheet, and a base member opposed to the supporting portion so the sheet is supported by the supporting portion between the supporting portion and the base member. A regulation unit includes a regulation portion to regulate a position of an edge portion of the supported sheet and moves in a moving direction, and a sensor outputs an output value that changes in accordance with an amount of movement of the regulation unit. The sensor and the regulation unit are supported by the base member, and the sensor is supported by the base member at a position above an abutment position between the sheet supported by the supporting portion and the feeding portion in a gravity direction.

An image forming apparatus includes a unit group including a specific unit having a specific component that performs an operation necessary for notification of paper remaining on a mounting surface; and a processor configured to control supply of power to the unit group at a return from a sleep state based on a return event, in which the processor is configured to in a case where there is no paper on the mounting surface at a transition to the sleep state, perform first control to supply power to a specified power supply destination corresponding to the return event at the return from the sleep state, and in a case where there is a paper on the mounting surface at the transition to the sleep state, perform second control to supply power to the specific unit at the return from the sleep state even in a case where the specific unit is not included in the specified power supply destination of the unit group.

An image forming apparatus includes a conveyer that conveys a recording medium supporting an image; a softener that softens the image; and a powder applicator that applies powder to the surface of the softened image, in which the applied powder adheres to a range that is narrower in a width direction orthogonal to a conveyance direction of the recording medium conveyed by the conveyer than a maximum width of the image to be supported by the recording medium.

An image forming apparatus includes an image forming device, a reading device, and processing circuitry. The image forming device forms a first image on a first face of a recording medium and form a second image on a second face of the recording medium. The first face and the second face are on opposite sides of the recording medium. The reading device detects a shape of the recording medium. The processing circuitry corrects the second image to be formed on the second face of the recording medium with respect to the first image formed on the first face of the recording medium based on the shape of the recording medium.

An original reading apparatus includes: a reading unit configured to read an original placed on a platen while moving in a predetermined direction in a housing; a sensor provided in the housing and configured to detect presence of the original in a predetermined position on the platen to identify a size of the original; a holding member movable in the housing and configured to hold the sensor and a cable extending from the sensor; and a cover configured to cover a predetermined space on a rear side of the platen mounted to the housing. A grip portion used by an operator to move the holding member is provided at one end of the holding member extending to the predetermined space through an opening portion in a wall on a rear side of the housing. When the cover is removed, the operator is allowed to grip the grip portion.

A document conveyance device includes a sheet feeding tray, a conveyance mechanism, a discharge tray, a document pressing member and a supporting mechanism. The document pressing member comes into contact with an upper face of the document discharged from a conveyance path and presses the document downward. The supporting mechanism is configured to be provided in the sheet feeding tray, to support the document pressing member, to allow a shifting of the document pressing member according to an operation for shifting the document pressing member in a discharge direction of the document or an opposite direction to the discharge direction and to inhibit the shifting of the document pressing member against a force applied to the document pressing member by the discharged document.

A conveyance apparatus includes a separation unit configured to separate and convey a sheet, a detection unit configured to detect a floating of the sheet passing through the separation unit, and a control unit configured to stop separate conveyance by the separation unit if the detection unit detects the sheet for not less than a predetermined time and/or a predetermined count.

A conveyance apparatus includes a separation unit configured to separate and convey a sheet, a detection unit configured to detect a height-direction deformation of the sheet passing through the separation unit on a downstream side than a sheet-conveying position of the separation unit in a conveyance direction of the sheet, and a control unit configured to stop the sheet conveyed by the separation unit if the detection unit detects the deformation of the sheet.
