A managing apparatus includes a processor configured to use continuous paper strips as recording media, receive multiple print jobs having different print speeds, and create print groups into which the multiple print jobs are classified according to print speed.

An image forming apparatus includes a first conveyor, a cutter, a second conveyor, a detection image forming section, a detector, and a controller. The first conveyor conveys a print medium. The cutter cuts the conveyed print medium. The second conveyor conveys, in a first direction, the print medium cut by the cutter. The detection image forming section forms a detection image on the print medium and the second conveyor. The detector detects, at two positions in a second direction, the detection image formed on the print medium or the detection image formed on the second conveyor. The controller varies one or both of a conveying speed of the print medium to be conveyed by the first conveyor and a cutting speed of the print medium to be cut by the cutter, on the basis of a comparison of the detection image detected at the two positions.

An image forming apparatus connectable to a post-processing apparatus via a carriage path for carrying continuous paper includes: a hardware processor that accepts a stop position of the continuous paper on the carriage path; a carrier that carries the continuous paper along the carriage path; an image former that forms an image on the continuous paper; a fuser that heats and presses the continuous paper passing through a nip portion formed by pressing bodies of revolution against each other to fix the image; and the hardware processor that switches between first control that, after the last image among the images formed on the continuous paper passes the fuser, stops carriage of the continuous paper and then separates the pressed bodies of revolution, and second control that separates the pressed bodies of revolution and then stops the carriage of the continuous paper, on the basis of the accepted stop position.

A transport device includes a transport roller, a nip section, and first and second transport path surfaces. The transport roller transports a transport target material sent from an accommodating unit. The nip section nips the transport target material with the transport roller, and prevents multi-feed of the transport target material. The first transport path surface is disposed upstream of the nip section in a transport direction to face a transport roller side of the nip section. The first transport path surface includes a top portion protruding toward the transport roller side beyond a nip line between the transport roller and the nip section. The second transport path surface is disposed downstream of the nip section in the transport direction to face the transport roller side of the nip section. The second transport path surface includes a top portion protruding toward the transport roller side beyond the nip line.

An image forming apparatus forms an image on a continuous medium, fixes the image by a fixing unit, and winds the continuous medium. The fixing unit has a first rotating member on a fixing surface side of the continuous medium and a second rotating member facing the first rotating member. The first rotating member is separate from the continuous medium when tension is applied to the continuous medium while the first rotating member is separate from the second rotating member. The image forming apparatus includes a tension applying mechanism, upstream and downstream nip portions, and a controller. The controller separates the first rotating member from the second rotating member while tension is applied to the continuous medium, and rotates the first rotating member. During a temperature raising operation and a temperature maintaining operation, the controller causes the nip portions to be in pressing states and maintains the tension.

A recording device includes a main body including a recording unit configured to perform recording on a medium pulled out from a roll body including the medium wound around a core member, and a leg part configured to support the main body from an installation surface on which the main body is installed. The leg part includes contact parts configured to make contact with the installation surface at respective positions different from each other. The contact parts include three reference contact parts located on a same plane and one movable contact part. The movable contact part is coupled with the main body through an elastic member that is elastically deformable in a direction that intersects the plane.

Provided is an image forming apparatus including an intermediate transfer body; a secondary transfer section; a conveyance section; a first detection section; a second detection section that is arranged downstream of the first detection section in a conveyance direction of a medium; and a control section that performs control for changing a conveyance speed of the medium by the conveyance section to a first speed based on timing of detection of the medium by the first detection section and a position of the image on the intermediate transfer body at that time point and changing the conveyance speed of the medium by the conveyance section to a second speed equal to the traveling speed of the intermediate transfer body based on timing of detection of the medium by the second detection section and the position of the image on the intermediate transfer body at that time point.

An image formation apparatus according to an embodiment may include: an image formation part; a conveyance part that conveys the medium; a detector that detects a leading end of the medium and a position detection mark on the medium; and a conveyance controller that controls the conveyance part under one of a first print mode based on one of the leading end of the medium and the position detection mark and a second print mode based on the other. The conveyance controller is configured, when switching from the first print mode to the second print mode when the medium stands by at a first standby position downstream of the detector, to retract the medium from the first standby position to a position upstream of the detector and then to resume to convey the medium.

An image formation apparatus according to an embodiment may include: an image formation part; a conveyance part that conveys the medium; a detector that detects a leading end of the medium and a position detection mark on the medium; and a conveyance controller that controls the conveyance part under one of a first print mode based on one of the leading end of the medium and the position detection mark and a second print mode based on the other. The conveyance controller is configured, when switching from the first print mode to the second print mode when the medium stands by at a first standby position downstream of the detector, to retract the medium from the first standby position to a position upstream of the detector and then to resume to convey the medium.

An image forming apparatus, includes (1) a medium holding unit that holds a recording medium; (2) a guide member configured to be movable, that sets a medium path of the recording medium fed from the medium holding unit as a predetermined path by being locked in a predetermined position, and that is unlocked by a tension of the recording medium; (3) a first conveyance member that is arranged downstream of the medium path of the guide member, and conveys the recording medium; and (4) an image forming unit that forms an image to the recording medium conveyed by the first conveyance member.
