Image forming apparatus capable of sheet position correction
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming portion to form an image on an image bearing member, and a transfer portion to transfer the image on a first image position on the image bearing member to a sheet. In addition, a controller determines a second image position, on the image bearing member, of an image to be transferred onto a second surface of a sheet re-conveyed to an adjustment portion by a reverse and re-conveyance portion based on a detected side edge position, of a trailing part of the sheet being conveyed with a first end as the leading edge. The trailing part of the sheet is positioned on a trailing edge side further than a center position, in the sheet conveyance direction, of the sheet, and the controller determines a shift amount based on the second image position and detected side edge position of the sheet, which has been re-conveyed, being conveyed with the second end as the leading edge.
SHEET CONVEYANCE APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A sheet conveyance apparatus includes: a speed detection roller that detects a conveyance speed of a sheet by coming into contact with the sheet being conveyed and being driven to rotate; and a hardware processor that performs temperature control to make an ambient temperature of the speed detection roller a predetermined temperature.

A conveyor includes: a receiver that detachably receives a roll-like sheet; a conveyance unit that conveys the sheet in a conveyance orientation along a conveyance surface; and a tensioner that applies tension to the sheet at a position upstream of the conveyance unit in the conveyance orientation. The tensioner includes: a frame having a groove pair extending in a first direction along the conveyance orientation; a guide having a curved surface that contacts the sheet and an engagement member pair that engages with the groove pair; a pivoting member that pivots around an axis extending in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction and parallel to the conveyance surface; a transmission member that transmits pivoting of the pivoting member to the guide; and an urging member that applies urging force including a component in the first direction to the guide.

An imaging system includes: a conveyor belt that conveys a medium having a toner image fixed thereto, along a conveying route; a heating element to heat the conveyor belt; and a pressing roller to press the conveyor belt against the heating element. The heating element may have a planar surface adjacent to an inner peripheral surface of the conveyor belt.

A sheet processing apparatus is configured to sandwich one or more sheet media in a two-ply sheet in which two sheets are overlaid and bonded together at a portion of the two-ply sheet. The sheet processing apparatus includes circuitry configured to control insertion processing to insert the one or more sheet media into the two-ply sheet based on a length of the two-ply sheet in a conveyance direction, a length of one of the one or more sheet media in the conveyance direction, and a number of the one or more sheet media.
Image forming device
An image forming device includes an image carrier, a transfer member, a fixing device, a conveyance member, and a controller. The transfer member forms a transfer nip that transfers an image carried on the image carrier to a recording medium. The fixing device fixes the image on the recording medium. The conveyance member is located downstream of the transfer member in a conveyance direction of the recording medium and feeds the recording medium to the fixing device. The controller variably controls position of the conveyance member.

A sheet discharge device includes a sheet discharge portion, a sheet loading portion, and a stopper mechanism. The stopper mechanism includes a first stopper supported pivotably to a first retraction position and a first restriction position, a second stopper that is movable to a first position at which the second stopper is housed along a downstream end part of the sheet loading portion and a second position apart from the first position to a downstream side in a sheet discharge direction and is supported pivotably to a second retraction position and a second restriction position, and a link mechanism connecting the first stopper to the second stopper. When the second stopper is disposed at the first position, the first stopper is disposed at the first restriction position, and when the second stopper is disposed at the second position, the first stopper is disposed at the first retraction position.

A sheet feeding apparatus includes a tray that stores a recording medium in a closed state in which the tray is placed in an apparatus body, the tray being capable of being pulled out from the apparatus body in a predetermined pulling direction; a transport unit that is provided on the apparatus body and that transports the recording medium in a direction crossing the pulling direction when the tray is in the closed state; a first contact portion provided on the tray and having a contact surface spaced from the transport unit when viewed in the pulling direction, the first contact portion being located upstream of the transport unit in the pulling direction and the contact surface being in contact with an upstream end portion of the recording medium stored in the tray in the pulling direction when the tray is in the closed state; a second contact portion disposed at a position that is upstream of the transport unit in the pulling direction and at which the second contact portion overlaps the transport unit when viewed in the pulling direction, the second contact portion having a contact surface that is in contact with the end portion when the tray is in the closed state; a first overlapping portion provided on the first contact portion and disposed downstream of the second contact portion in the pulling direction, the first overlapping portion overlapping the second contact portion when viewed in the pulling direction; and an urging portion that urges the second contact portion downstream in the pulling direction so that the second contact portion abuts against the first overlapping portion when the tray is in the closed state.
Sheet conveying device and image processing apparatus
According to one embodiment, a sheet conveying device includes a roller, a motor, a clutch, and a torque generator. The roller conveys a sheet. The motor is a driving source. The clutch connects or disconnects drive of the motor with respect to the roller. The torque generator applies a torque to the roller.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus is operable in a first mode in which a photosensitive drum is rotated at a first rotational speed and a second mode in which the photosensitive drum is rotated at a second rotational speed slower than the first rotational speed. In this image forming apparatus, the light-emitting portions are controlled such that the number of light-emitting rows for multiply exposing regions, each of which corresponds to one pixel on the photosensitive drum in the first mode, is greater than that in the second mode.
