Image forming apparatus with laser scanning components positioned for enhanced compactness
An image forming apparatus includes a plurality of photosensitive members; a scanner unit including light sources, a rotatable polygonal mirror, and reflecting members; and a fixing portion. Parts of the laser beams emitted from the light sources are reflected by the rotatable polygonal mirror toward the fixing device side, and rest parts of the laser beams are reflected by the rotatable polygonal mirror toward a side opposite from the fixing device side. Of the parts of the laser beams reflected by the rotatable polygonal mirror toward the fixing device side, the laser beam reflected toward the reflecting member provided at a position remotest from the rotatable polygonal mirror travels downward relative to a horizontal direction. A rotational axis of the rotatable polygonal mirror is inclined relative to a vertical direction.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus of the present invention includes: a body; a developing cartridge having a memory medium and a developer bearing member; a tray including a frame which is movable between a housed position and a drawn-out position and has side portions extending in the moving direction and to which the developing cartridge is attachable, an image bearing member that faces the developer bearing member when the developing cartridge is attached, a tray-side metal terminal provided on the side portion and electrically connected to the memory medium when the cartridge is attached, and a tray guide portion extending along the moving direction; a body-side metal terminal that faces the tray-side metal terminal when the tray is housed, wherein the tray-side metal terminal is provided below the tray guide portion.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a stacking unit, a feeding unit, an image forming unit, a discharge stacking unit, a detecting unit, a double-side feeding passage, and a controller. In a case that subsequent to a current recording material, a subsequent recording material is discharged, the controller determines a feeding timing of the subsequent recording material depending on a discharge interval time from discharge of the current recording material on the discharge stacking unit to discharge of the subsequent recording material on the discharge stacking unit, and determines the discharge interval time on the basis of print information of at least the subsequent recording material.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus body, and an opening/closing cover configured to expose an opening portion of the apparatus body by being opened. The apparatus body includes a main body frame, a plurality of conveyance units being detachably attached to the main body frame through the opening portion, a control board configured to control the plurality of conveyance units, and a relay board configured to be electrically connected to the control board. The plurality of conveyance units respectively include a plurality of first connectors. The relay board includes a plurality of second connectors that are arranged to face the opening portion and that are configured to be connected to the plurality of first connectors, the relay board being arranged at a position not interfering with attachment/detachment loci in which the plurality of conveyance units are attached to and detached from the main body frame.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS WITH SCANNER MOUNTED ON UPPER COVER THEREOF
An example image forming apparatus includes a printing unit including a fixing device to form an image on a print medium, a housing in which the printing unit is located, and a scanner, to read image information from a document, located above the printing unit in a vertical projected area of the housing with respect to a discharge direction of the print medium discharged from the printing unit so as not to overlap with a heater of the fixing device.
SHEET DISCHARGE DEVICE, AND DOCUMENT CONVEYING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS PROVIDED THEREWITH
A sheet discharge device includes: a sheet discharge portion; a sheet stacking portion having a sheet stacking surface for stacking a sheet discharged from the sheet discharge portion; and a stopper in the sheet stacking portion against which, for alignment, the leading end of the sheet discharged from the sheet discharge portion is thrust. The stopper has a support portion, a restricting portion, and an urging mechanism. The restricting portion is supported pivotally on a pivot shaft on the support portion, and is arranged either in a retracted position to lie flat substantially horizontally along the sheet stacking surface or in a restricting position to stand upright substantially vertically to the sheet stacking surface. The urging mechanism urges the restricting portion, when in retracted position, in a direction from restricting position to retracted position and, when in restricting position, in a direction from retracted position to restricting position.
Recording apparatus
A recording apparatus includes a recording unit configured to record an image on a recording medium, a discharge unit, a tray, and a side portion. The discharge unit discharges the recording medium in a discharge direction. The recording medium discharged by the discharge unit is stacked on the tray. The side portion regulates the recording medium stacked on the tray in a direction intersecting the discharge direction. The side portion is provided with an exhaust vent hole including an inclined portion for upwardly exhausting air from an inside of the recording apparatus to an outside of the recording apparatus.
Image forming apparatus with a mechanism for supplying toner for forming an image, and method thereof
An image forming apparatus includes a main body that includes a photosensitive member on which an electrostatic latent image is formed and a development unit configured to develop the photosensitive member with toner. The main body is configured to discharge a recording material on which an image is formed with the toner onto a discharge tray. The image forming apparatus also includes a toner supply port on which a supply container is mounted to supply toner to a toner containing portion of the development unit. The image forming apparatus further includes a non-contact communication portion including an antenna and configured to receive a signal for user authentication. The discharge tray, the toner supply port, and the non-contact communication portion are provided at an upper portion of the main body. The non-contact communication portion is provided outside the discharge tray when the main body is viewed from above.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit; a reverse conveying roller; a discharge unit including a reverse conveying path, an openable and closable member, an open/close sensor, a discharge tray, a sheet conveyance unit, and a failure detector; and a controller. If the controller determines that the sheet conveyance unit is in failure based on a detection result of the failure detector and determines that the openable and closable member is closed based on a detection result of the open/close sensor, the controller prohibits discharge of the sheet to the discharge tray and permits conveyance of the sheet to the reverse conveying path, and if the controller determines that the sheet conveyance unit is in failure and determines that the openable and closable member is open, the controller prohibits the conveyance of the sheet to the reverse conveying path.
Paper ejection device and image forming apparatus
A paper ejection device includes: an ejection portion that ejects sheets of paper; a housing portion that houses the ejected sheets of paper in a sequentially stacked state; and a guiding portion that guides the sheets of paper, before being ejected, to the ejection portion while curving the sheets of paper. The housing portion is adjustable to plural angles including at least an angle at which the ejected sheets of paper are housed while being curved in a direction opposite to a direction in which the sheets of paper have been curved by the guiding portion.
