TONER COLLECTING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A toner collecting device includes an exhaust path and a catching installation. Through the exhaust path, air containing a floating toner is passed. The catching installation is configured to catch the floating toner from the air passing through the exhaust path. The catching installation is formed by overlapping a plural of filters each having a different mesh size.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
In opposition to a sheet feeding path, an ultrafine particle (UFP) collecting filter provided between transfer and fixing is easily exchanged. Therefore, a duct unit kept in a state of holding the UFP collecting filter is removably and easily mounted to a duct.
Developing device provided with a toner trapping mechanism
The image forming apparatus includes a developing part and a vibration generating part. The vibration generating part vibrates a filter provided in the developing part. The developing part includes a development container, a developer carrier, and a toner trapping mechanism. The development container includes a first conveyance chamber and a second conveyance chamber placed in parallel juxtaposition. The toner trapping mechanism has a duct, an air inlet port, an air exhaust port, and a filter. The air inlet port is opened along the longitudinal direction of the second conveyance chamber so as to allow air present in the second conveyance chamber to flow into the duct. The vibration generating part is placed outside the developing part so as to be opposed to the development container and positioned on a downstream side in a developer conveyance direction of the second conveyance chamber.
Self cleaning apparatus and method
An apparatus for self-cleaning of a component in a machine, which includes at least one air nozzle disposed in air discharge communication with a surface of the component to be cleaned, such as a sensor surface or a gripper surface. The air nozzle is in air flow communication with air exhaust from an air cylinder of the component or a second component of the machine. Related, corresponding, or associated methods for self-cleaning the component in a machine are also disclosed.
OPTICAL SCANNING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An optical scanning device includes a light source, a deflecting unit, an optical member group, a casing and a light transmissive member. The casing accommodates in the deflecting unit and the optical member group and includes an opening through which a laser light emitted from the light source passes. The light transmissive member covers the opening. The light transmissive member includes a base surface and a plurality of projected portions provided on the base surface. When a distance between a center portion of one of the projected portions and a center portion of the projected portion adjacent to the one of the projected portions with respect to a longitudinal direction of the light transmissive member is defined as an interval between the projected portions, a height of the projected portions from the base surface is larger than the interval.
Toner container
A toner container includes a first chamber for accommodating toner and provided with an outlet port through which the toner is discharged outside of the toner container, a second chamber provided with an inlet port and for accommodating toner to be received from an outside of the toner container through the inlet port, a stirring member for stirring the toner accommodated in the first chamber and to rotate about a rotational axis, and an air supply unit configured to supply air for discharging the toner accommodated in the first chamber to an outside of the toner container through the outlet port. The air supply unit, the first chamber, and the second chamber are aligned in this order in a direction of the rotational axis.
POST-PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
A post-processing apparatus includes a cutter that cuts an edge of a transported recording medium, a collection container that is disposed below the cutter and that collects the edge when the edge cut by the cutter falls downward, and a blower that blows gas into the collection container.
Image forming apparatus
Disclosed is an image forming apparatus including: a door configured to open a conveying path between a transfer portion for forming a toner image on a recording material and a fixing portion for fixing the toner image, the door facing a surface of the recording material traveling through the conveying path; a duct provided on the door, the duct having an intake inlet and an exhaust outlet; a fan provided inside the duct, which generates the air flow travelling from the intake inlet to the exhaust outlet; and a filter provided detachably attachable to the duct, which collects particles with a predetermined particle diameter, wherein the filter has a width that is equal to or greater than an image width of a recording material with a maximum width passing through a fixing nip portion in a widthwise direction perpendicular to a conveying direction of the recording material.
