IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a housing, a drawer, an operation panel, and a sensor. The housing includes a first side wall having a first opening, and a second side wall having a vent and extending in a direction crossing the first side wall. The drawer supports a cartridge. The drawer is movable through the first opening between an inner position at which the drawer is accommodated in the housing and an outer position at which a part of the drawer is exposed to outside the housing. At least part of the operation panel protrudes from an outer surface of the second side wall. The sensor is arranged in the housing between the drawer and the second side wall. The sensor is configured to detect at least temperature or humidity of ambient air taken in through the vent.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a fixing device and a cooling device provided on a side downstream of the fixing device with respect to a sheet feeding direction. The cooling device includes a first unit including a first belt and a first roller, a second unit including a second belt for forming a nip in cooperation with the first belt, a heat sink and a second roller, and a driving motor for rotating the first roller and the second roller. The second unit is movable between a contact position where the first belt and the second belt are in contact with each other so as to form the nip and a separated position where the first belt and the second belt are in separation from each other so as to release the nip.

An image reading apparatus includes a placement surface, a feeding unit, a reading unit, and an indication portion. The feeding unit feeds a placement surface placed sheet in a feeding direction. The reading unit reads an image on the fed sheet. The indication portion indicates a position where the sheet is to be placed on the placement surface and a sheet center position in a sheet width direction perpendicular to the feeding direction. The indication portion includes a first portion on one side in the sheet width direction of the center position and a second portion on another side in the sheet width direction of the center position. The distance from the center position to a first portion end on the one side is the same as a distance from the center position to a second portion end on the other side.

An image forming apparatus according to the present invention includes an optical box, a housing having a discharge opening, a cover provided downstream of the optical box in a discharge direction in which a recording material is discharged through the discharge opening and forming a part of the housing, and a circuit board, wherein the circuit board includes a plurality of electronic components and a wiring board configured to electrically connect the plurality of electronic components, the circuit board is disposed in such a direction that a surface of the wiring board on which the plurality of electronic components is mounted intersects the discharge direction, and the wiring board is provided between the cover and the optical box in the discharge direction, and wherein, when viewed in a vertical direction, the optical box and the plurality of electronic components partially overlap each other.
Selective gloss treatment of print media
An image forming apparatus including a print engine, a gloss treatment device, a medium conveying device, and a processor. The print engine is to form an image on a print medium. The gloss treatment device is to perform a gloss treatment on the print medium on which an image is formed. The medium conveying device to provide the print medium to the print engine and selectively provide the print medium on which an image is formed to the gloss treatment device. The processor is to control the print engine to form an image based on print data and control the medium conveying device to selectively provide the print medium to the gloss treatment device depending on whether a gloss treatment option is set in the print data.

A speaker unit is provided with a speaker attached to an opening of a unit housing, a wire spring extending from one side of the opening to the other side and holding the speaker, a first support section for supporting one side of the wire spring in the unit housing, and a second support section for supporting the other side of the wire spring in the unit housing, and the wire spring is formed with a curved portion that is stretchable in the extending direction from one side to the other side.

An image forming apparatus includes a first and second processor. The first processor controls a transport device that transports a sheet and a first image forming section that forms an image on the sheet. The second processor controls a second image forming section that forms an image on the sheet. If an image is to be formed at the second section, the first processor causes the first section to perform image formation preparation and causes the device to transport the sheet upon receiving a notification from the second processor in response to a preparation command transmitted to the second processor for performing image formation preparation in the second section. If an image is not to be formed at the second section, the first processor causes the first section to perform the image formation preparation and the transport device to transport the sheet, without receiving the notification from the second processor.

An image forming apparatus, including a casing, a toner cartridge, and a process cartridge, is provided. The toner cartridge detachably attached to the casing stores toner therein. The toner conveyer tube has a first opening, through which the toner from the toner cartridge is acceptable into the toner conveyer tube while the toner cartridge and the process cartridge are attached to the casing. The drum unit includes a photosensitive drum supporting the toner conveyer tube by contacting a circumferential surface of the toner conveyer tube. The developing unit is pivotable with respect to the drum unit with the toner conveyer tube and the drum unit being slidable on each other.
