The image processing apparatus includes a storing unit configured to store a document in a storage device, a notification unit configured to periodically notify an apparatus of a predetermined destination of information about a document that has been newly stored by the storing unit into the storage device, and a control unit configured to restrict shifting to a power saving mode in which the notification unit cannot make the notification after storage of a document by the storing unit has been completed and until the notification unit notifies at least information about the document.

An image forming method and apparatus, includes setting a processing order of a plurality of operations of a same image data and detailed setup information of the plurality of operations, and executing the plurality of operations using the detailed setup information according to the set processing order.

An image forming apparatus includes a document reader, a storage for storing image data, an image output unit and a control unit. The control unit includes: a function setup controller for setting up the image output conditions of output images; and a control-unit side controller having a function of displaying a function setup screen corresponding to the function setup controller, on a display panel. The image forming apparatus is used by being connected to a mobile terminal provided with a terminal side touch panel display. The communicating unit communicates with the mobile terminal and exchanges data. The apparatus side touch panel display is used for self operation of the image forming apparatus. The control unit, via the communicating unit, receives terminal side image data as content that is displayed on the terminal side touch panel display of the mobile terminal from the mobile terminal side, transmits apparatus side operation data corresponding to the content operated by a user on the apparatus side touch panel display to the mobile terminal side, and causes an application in the mobile terminal to be executed using the apparatus side operation data.
