PAPER DUST COLLECTING MEMBER AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS THEREWITH
A paper dust collecting member removes and collects paper dust attached to a conveying roller, and is attachable along the attaching direction parallel to the axial direction of the conveying roller via an opening portion provided in a side plate of an apparatus main body. The paper dust collecting member has a removing member and a holding member. The removing member removes paper dust attached to the conveying roller. The holding member holds the removing member. The holding member includes a protrusion portion which is disposed, on its distal end portion side, along a side surface of the removing member and which protrudes in the thickness direction of the removing member beyond a contact surface of the removing member.
CLEANING MEMBER, CHARGING DEVICE, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A cleaning member includes plural bristles including tips that come into contact with an object to be cleaned having a surface including recesses and projections; and a brush base to which the bristles are attached. The bristles each have a non-circular cross-section including a projecting portion that projects toward an outer periphery, at least the projecting portion having a size such that the projecting portion is capable of entering the recesses in the object to be cleaned.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming device, an image bearer, at least one density sensor, a cleaning jig, and an insertion port. The image forming device forms a toner image. The image bearer bears the toner image to be transferred on a recording medium. The density sensor has a light-receiving surface to optically read the toner image. The light-receiving surface faces the image bearer constantly. The cleaning jig cleans the density sensor and includes a cleaner to contact the light-receiving surface. The cleaning jig is inserted through the insertion port into the body of the image forming apparatus and reciprocally moved to clean the light-receiving surface and is removed from the body of the image forming apparatus after the light-receiving surface is cleaned.
Cleaning member and elastic member
Provided is a cleaning member, comprising an elastic member that includes polyurethane, wherein: when tan of a test piece sampled from the elastic member is measured in the temperature range of 20 C. to +60 C., the peak temperature of a peak indicating the maximum value of tan is at 15.0 C. or below; the maximum value of tan is 0.20 to 0.55; tan at a temperature of 55 C. is 0.13 or larger; and where the detected quantity of all ions obtained when the test piece is heated at a rate of temperature increase of 10 C./second to 1000 C. using a direct-sampling mass spectrometer is M1 and the integrated intensity of a peak in a derived ion thermogram that corresponds to a range of m/z values originating in multifunctional isocyanate with at least three isocyanate groups is M2, M2/M1 is at least 0.001.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes: a moving portion that moves in one direction; an inclined surface that is disposed in a state of being inclined with respect to the one direction, has one end located on a side close to the moving portion and another end located on a side farther from the moving portion than the one end, and extends in a direction from the other end toward the one end; a cleaning member that is supported by the inclined surface, cleans the moving portion, and can change a disposition position in a normal extension direction, which is a direction in which a normal to the inclined surface extends; and a positioning portion that is used for positioning the cleaning member in a surface extension direction, which is the direction from the other end toward the one end, such that a disposition position of the cleaning member in the surface extension direction moves to a downstream side in the surface extension direction in response to a disposition position of the cleaning member being changed to a downstream side in the normal extension direction.
Sheet characteristic detection device, image forming system including the same, and image forming apparatus
A sheet characteristic detection device includes: a detector that is disposed on a sheet ejection path through which a sheet is ejected and that detects an electrical resistance value of the sheet; and a charge neutralizer that is disposed on a downstream side of the detector on the sheet ejection path and that neutralizes electric charge on the sheet.
