IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS HAVING TWO PRINT HEAD MOUNTING SPACES
An image forming apparatus includes a housing, a drum, a toner processing module and a first mounting space. The drum is disposed in the housing. The toner processing module supplies toners to the drum. The first mounting space accommodates a first print head. The first print head provides a light ray to perform a writing operation on the drum. When the first print head is present, the light ray of the first print head disposed in the first mounting space passes through an optical channel of the toner processing module to perform the writing operation on the drum. Thus, the optimum configurations of the print head and the drum can be achieved, to effectively reduce a size of the image forming apparatus and satisfy diversified requirements without spending a high cost.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS INCLUDING DUCT STRUCTURE THAT SUPPORTS LIGHT EMITTING ELEMENTS FOR EXPOSING A PHOTOCONDUCTOR
An image forming apparatus includes: a rotatable photoconductor; an exposure portion including a substrate on which a plurality of chips each including a plurality of light emitting portions that emit light for exposing the photoconductor is mounted, and a support portion configured to support the substrate; a fan configured to generate an airflow for cooling the exposure portion; and a duct configured to communicate with the fan and to communicate with the support portion to guide the airflow generated by the fan to the substrate.
Image Forming Apparatus
An image forming apparatus, including a photosensitive drum, an exposure head, a base frame, and a spring, is provided. The exposure head includes light emitters, a lens array, and a head frame, and is movable between an exposable position and a retracted position. The base frame supports the photosensitive drum and includes a reference face. The reference face is configured to define a position of the exposure head with regard to a sub-scanning direction, which is orthogonal to a direction of an optical axis of the light from the light emitters and to a direction of a rotation axis of the photosensitive drum, by being contacted by the head frame of the exposure head when the exposure head is at the exposable position. The spring is arranged in the head frame and presses the head frame toward the reference face.
EXPOSURE DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMATION APPARATUS
An exposure device according to an embodiment includes: a substrate in which light-emitting elements are mounted; an optical system which converges light emitted from the light-emitting elements; a holding member includes a holding member body which holds the substrate and the optical system, and a cut fringe projected from the holding member body; and a support member provided at a predetermined position in the holding member between the substrate and the optical system. The support member is formed of a cured agent attached to a shear surface of the cut fringe of the holding member, and the support member includes a contact surface with which the substrate is in contact.
EXPOSURE WINDOW COMPONENT, AND EXPOSURE DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS USING THE SAME
An exposure window component is provided so as to be separated from an exposure device housing and is attached to an opening through which light from the exposure device housing passes. The exposure window component includes: a transmitting member that allows light from the exposure device housing to pass therethrough; a holding frame that holds the transmitting member; a receiving member that is provided at a periphery of the opening to receive the holding frame when the transmitting member is attached and that removably supports the transmitting member; and a grasping part that is provided at a portion of the holding frame and is grasped when the transmitting member is attached and removed.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS HAVING IMPROVED STRUCTURE FOR FIXING AN EXPOSURE UNIT TO A FRAME
An image forming apparatus includes an image bearing member, a frame member including a support surface and made of metal, an exposure unit disposed such that an emission direction in which the light is emitted to the image bearing member is inclined with respect to the support surface, a support member made of metal and configured to support the exposure unit that is in an inclined posture with respect to the support surface, and a positioning member made of resin and configured to be in contact with the exposure unit and position the exposure unit. The support surface of the frame member is in contact with at least one of the support member or the positioning member, and wherein the exposure unit is configured to be attached to the frame member via the support member and the positioning member.
PROCESS CARTRIDGE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A process cartridge for an image forming apparatus includes an image bearer; a developer bearer to supply a latent image on the image bearer with toner and develop the latent image, a cleaner to clean residual toner on the image bearer after a transfer process, and an elastically deformable remover to contact an end portion of the image bearer in an axial direction of the image bearer. The remover includes an inclined part extending in the axial direction of the image bearer from an upstream side to a downstream side in a direction of movement of the image bearer. The inclined part includes a contact portion to contact the image bearer. The contact portion of the inclined part forms a gradient in the axial direction.
Image forming apparatus with repositionable shutter assembly
An image forming apparatus includes a photoconductor, an exposure device, and a shutter assembly. The exposure device includes a light source configured to expose the photoconductor. The light source is repositionable between a proximity position at a first distance from the photoconductor and a separation position at a second distance from the photoconductor. The first distance is less than the second distance. The shutter assembly is configured to move away from the light source in response to the light source moving toward the proximity position. The shutter assembly is configured to move to cover the optical path of the light source in response to the light source moving toward the separation position.
