The guide includes: a guide portion elongated in a longitudinal direction orthogonal to the moving direction; a first gate mark; and a second gate mark arranged spaced apart from the first gate mark in the longitudinal direction. The guide portion includes a resin and a plurality of elongated-shaped fillers dispersed in the resin. The guide portion has a guide surface configured to guide movement of the belt in the moving direction, a peripheral surface of the belt being configured to contact the guide surface.

An image forming apparatus includes a correcting portion to correct gradation of inputted image data on the basis of a correction condition, an image forming device to form, on a recording material, a toner image corresponding to the corrected image data, a mounting portion, an executing portion to execute an output process for forming and outputting, on the recording material, a predetermined toner image for generating the correction condition, the predetermined toner image including a plurality of image regions different in density, an input portion to permit input of an execution instruction of the output process by an operator, and a controller to control notification of information to the operator. Provided is an inexpensive image forming apparatus that reduces wasteful operation and is capable of determining whether a fixing unit is attached properly. The image forming apparatus includes an image forming apparatus main body, and a fixing roller that fixes a pattern composed of toner on paper by heating when conveying the paper on which the pattern is formed, and uses a fixing unit that can be attached to and detached from the image forming apparatus main body. A temperature sensor for detecting the temperature of the fixing roller is provided in the fixing unit. The image forming apparatus includes a control unit that, after the fixing unit is attached, determines whether or not the fixing unit is attached properly to the image forming apparatus main body according to a magnitude relationship between the temperature detected by the temperature sensor and a preset first threshold value.

A sheet conveying device includes a pair of conveyors each including a conveyance face to convey a recording medium inside an image forming apparatus. One of the pair of conveyors further includes an exposed face, a handle, and a swing fulcrum. The exposed face is exposed to an outside of the apparatus while an inside of the apparatus is open. The handle is exposed to the outside of the apparatus and operatable to expose the conveyance face to the outside of the apparatus while the inside of the apparatus is open. The swing fulcrum swings the one of the pair of conveyors to expose the conveyance face to the outside of the apparatus when the handle is operated while the inside of the apparatus is open. The handle includes a partial annular portion. The partial annular portion is included in a plane including a swing direction around the swing fulcrum.

An assembly removable structure includes an assembly including a connectable member and attached to and removed from a receiving member of an apparatus body in a first direction, a connection member disposed on the apparatus body to be movable forward and backward in a cross direction that crosses the first direction, the connection member being connected to the connectable member while being in a projecting state, a switch member operated independently of a lid member and capable of switching the connection member between a first position, in which the connection member is connected to the connectable member, and a second position, in which the connection member is removed from the connectable member, and a restricting device that restricts removal of the assembly attached to the receiving member, the restricting device switching the switch member from the second position to the first position with an operation of the restriction.

An image forming apparatus includes a fixing unit and an apparatus main body. The fixing unit includes a first rotator, a second rotator, a temperature sensor, a switching mechanism, a switching sensor, and a unit side connector. The temperature sensor outputs a temperature signal corresponding to a temperature of the first rotator. The switching mechanism switches pressure of a fixing nip. The switching sensor outputs a switching signal corresponding to a position of the switching mechanism. The unit side connector is connected to the temperature sensor and the switching sensor. The apparatus main body includes a main body side connector and a controller. The main body side connector is connected to the unit side connector. The controller determines a state of attachment of the fixing unit to the apparatus main body on a basis of the temperature signal and the switching signal.
