An image forming apparatus includes an image forming device configured to form an image on a sheet, and a cabinet configured to house the image forming device. The image forming device includes a side plate in which an exhaust port is formed, and the cabinet includes an outer side plate facing the side plate of the image forming device, and a positioning part configured to position the image forming device in the cabinet, the positioning part configured to form a space between the side plate of the image forming device and the outer side plate of the cabinet.

A first drawer configured to support a drum cartridge moves in a first direction between a first mount position and a first detachment position. A second drawer configured to support a development cartridge moves in the first direction between a second mount position and a second detachment position. The second drawer is located between the first drawer located at the first mount position and a cover located at a closed position with respect to the first direction in a state where the second drawer is located at the second mount position. A lock member moves between a lock position at which the first drawer and the second drawer are locked together and a lock release position at which a lock state between the first drawer and the second drawer is released. A lock release member causes the lock member at the lock position to move to the lock release position.

A first cartridge support is configured to support a drum cartridge. The first cartridge support is configured to move in a first direction between a first position at which the drum cartridge is mounted on a housing and a second position at which the drum cartridge is detachable. A second cartridge support is configured to support a development cartridge. The second cartridge support is configured to move in the first direction between a third position at which the development cartridge is mounted on the drum cartridge and a fourth position at which the development cartridge is detachable. In a state where the second cartridge support is located at the third position, the second cartridge support is located between the first cartridge support located at the first position and a cover located at a closed position with respect to the first direction.

An image forming apparatus includes a first process unit, a second process unit, a first toner cartridge, and a second toner cartridge. The first toner cartridge includes a cartridge housing and a first shutter movable between a first closed position and a first open position. The cartridge housing includes one end portion and the other end portion. The cartridge housing is rotatable between a first position at which the first shutter is positioned at the first closed position and a second position at which the first shutter is positioned at the first open position. When the cartridge housing moves from the second position to the first position, the one end portion of the cartridge housing comes close to the second toner cartridge and the other end portion of the cartridge housing goes away from the second toner cartridge.

A developing cartridge includes: a casing; a developing roller; a shaft; and a cam. The casing is configured to accommodate developer therein. The developing roller is rotatable about a first axis extending in an axial direction. The shaft extends along a second axis extending in the axial direction. The shaft is movable along the second axis. The cam is movable along the second axis in response to axial movement of the shaft. The cam has a cam surface non-parallel with the second axis.

A cabinet structure includes multiple cover members configured to spatially partition an inside from an outside of a cabinet, and a clearance communicating between the inside and the outside of the cabinet is left between two cover members, the two cover members being adjacent to each other, of the cover members, and a passage defined by the clearance and leading from the inside to the outside of the cabinet through the clearance has a shape with multiple bends.

A recording apparatus includes a lower unit including a recording unit that performs recording on a medium, and an upper unit including a reading unit that reads a document image, the upper unit being disposed above the lower unit and being configured to open and close with respect to the lower unit. The upper unit includes an arm that maintains an open state of the upper unit by being supported by the lower unit. The lower unit has a cam groove that receives a protrusion disposed on the arm and that has a route along which the protrusion moves in a certain direction when the upper unit opens or closes. A recess that the protrusion enters and that supports the protrusion from below is disposed in the cam groove and the open state of the upper unit is maintained by the protrusion entering the recess.

A drawer includes: a photosensitive drum rotatable about a drum axis extending in an axial direction; and a frame to which a developing cartridge including a developing roller is attachable. The developing cartridge is attachable to the frame in a state where an outer circumferential surface of the developing roller faces an outer circumferential surface of the photosensitive drum. The frame is configured to move the developing roller in a separation direction in which the outer circumferential surface of the developing roller moves away from the outer circumferential surface of the photosensitive drum. The frame includes a first guide roller for guiding the developing cartridge in the axial direction. The first guide roller is configured to move the developing cartridge in the separation direction relative to the frame in response to the movement in the axial direction of the developing cartridge relative to the frame.

A housing includes a body portion, including an opening, and a cover portion that covers the opening. The cover portion includes a first cover and a second cover that is perpendicular to the first cover. The first cover includes a cover body that is platy. A projection projects from the cover body. A first attachment is mounted on the projection and attaches the first cover to the body portion. A second attachment is disposed on the first attachment and attaches the second cover to the first cover.

A first drawer configured to support a drum cartridge moves in a first direction between a first mount position and a first detachment position. A second drawer configured to support a development cartridge moves in the first direction between a second mount position and a second detachment position. The second drawer is located between the first drawer located at the first mount position and a cover located at a closed position with respect to the first direction in a state where the second drawer is located at the second mount position. A lock member moves between a lock position at which the first drawer and the second drawer are locked together and a lock release position at which a lock state between the first drawer and the second drawer is released. A lock release member causes the lock member at the lock position to move to the lock release position.
