INTERACTIVE CARRY
Systems and methods are provided for selectively controlling a carry mode for holograms presented in mixed-reality environments and for providing leashing buffers for the holograms. The carry mode enables holograms to be functionally moved within a single mixed-reality environment, and out into one or more different mixed-reality environments. The carry mode can be automatically applied to holograms created within the mixed-reality environment. The carry mode can also be applied responsive to user input applied to world-locked holograms, which triggers a switch from the world-locked mode to the carry mode from. Holograms can also be leashed for persistently displaying holograms associated with or linked to a user in the mixed-reality environment to provide the user increased accessibility to the hologram while navigating within and without a particular mixed-reality environment. Selectable options are presented with a hologram in carry mode for switching from the carry mode to the world-locked mode.
MOVEMENT CONTROL OF HOLOGRAPHIC OBJECTS WITH CROWN MOVEMENT OF A WATCH DEVICE
A method includes providing wireless communication between a device having a holography module and a watch. The watch is being worn by a user and has sensors. The holography module outputs one or more holographic objects in three-dimensional space. User's selection of one of the holographic objects is detected by the watch. Direction of rotation of a crown of the watch is detected and rotational speed of the crown of the watch is measured by the watch. The watch communicates to the holography module the direction of rotation of the crown and the rotational speed of the crown. The holography module changes position of the selected holographic object by moving the selected holographic object. Direction of movement of the selected holographic object corresponds to the direction of rotation of the crown. Speed of the movement of the selected holographic object corresponds to the rotational speed of the crown.
DISPLAY DEVICES AND PIXEL FOR A DISPLAY DEVICE
A display device is disclosed. The display device comprises an optical structure with a plurality of pixels configured to generate an optical image on a front side of the optical structure. The display device further includes a plurality of acoustic transducers configured to generate an acoustic field for stimulating the tactile sense of a human person based on a plurality of control signals in a space in front of the front side of the optical structure. The plurality of acoustic transducers are located on a back side of the optical structure. The display device further includes a control circuit configured to generate at least one of the plurality of control signals based on at least one acoustic property of the optical structure.
HOLOGRAM-BASED CHARACTER RECOGNITION METHOD AND APPARATUS
A hologram-based character recognition method in which representative characters are respectively matched to fingers and a group of characters including character objects is matched to representative characters, includes: displaying, when a first movement of a predetermined finger is detected, in a space a hologram image in which a predetermined representative character among the representative characters matched to the predetermined finger is arranged at a center and the character objects included in the group matched to the predetermined representative character are arranged around the predetermined representative character. The method further includes: recognizing the predetermined representative character as an input when a second movement of the predetermined finger is detected; and recognizing one of the one or more character objects as an input when the second movement of the predetermined finger is detected after the predetermined finger is dragged or moved to said one of the one or more character objects.
Methods and systems for augmented reality
Methods and systems (terminals, devices) for the generation, the retrieval and the display of computer-generated holographic images through a head-mounted display. The holographic images may be used as virtual retrievable tags for display in augmented reality.
User-directed holographic object design
Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for generating or modifying a holographic object based on user commands. Holographic projectors, which may be integrated with a user device, may be controlled to project a holographic grid that can be manipulated by a user to provide design commands to the user device. The user device may be configured to interpret the design commands and generate a holographic object based thereon. The holographic grid may include a plurality of cuboid cells. A user may, through gesture-based commands, indicate, for any given cell in the holographic grid, whether or not a portion of the holographic object should be generated in a three-dimensional spatial position corresponding to the cell. In addition, a user can provide gesture-based commands to selected cells of the holographic grid corresponding to portions of an existing holographic object that the user wishes to remove.
COLLABORATIVE INTERACTIONS AND FEEDBACK WITH MIDAIR INTERFACES
In an embodiment, a method includes detecting a motion pattern in proximity to a first midair interface (MAI) device, the motion pattern being of a body part of a user. In an embodiment, the method includes converting the detected motion pattern to a simulated surface of an object projected from a shared MAI device, wherein the first MAI device and the shared MAI device each correspond to a different user. In an embodiment, the method includes causing a behavior change in the simulated surface being projected from the shared MAI device. An embodiment includes a computer usable program product. The computer usable program product includes a computer-readable storage device, and program instructions stored on the storage device.
Holographic augmented authoring
Holographic augmented authoring provides an extension to personal computing experiences of a universal or conventional productivity application. A user interface of a productivity application executing on a personal computing device can be switched from a touch or conventional mode to a holographic mode, which opens communication between the personal computing device and a holographic enabled device providing a mixed reality system. A semantic representation of a command in a productivity application is generated as a hologram in a mixed reality system and the change to a content file from performing the command in the mixed reality system does not require a holographic enabled device to view or even further edit.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DISPLAYING MEDIA ASSETS ASSOCIATED WITH HOLOGRAPHIC STRUCTURES
Methods and systems are described for improved techniques for consuming and interacting with media content. Specifically, a media guidance application may present a holographic structure using a holographic interface. Moreover, the media guidance application may monitor the user and/or area about the holographic interface for user interactions that may cause the media guidance application to alter the holographic structure based on a user interaction. The media guidance application may also after altering the holographic structure, generate for display a media asset associated with the holographic structure.
