Systems and methods for displaying media assets associated with holographic structures
Methods and systems are described for improved techniques for consuming and interacting with media content. Specifically, a media guidance application may present a holographic structure using a holographic interface. Moreover, the media guidance application may monitor the user and/or area about the holographic interface for user interactions that may cause the media guidance application to alter the holographic structure based on a user interaction. The media guidance application may also after altering the holographic structure, generate for display a media asset associated with the holographic structure.
Fingerprint authentication during holographic object display
A display apparatus including a display; a holographic projector a fingerprint scanner to read a fingerprint from a user's finger spaced from the fingerprint scanner when placed in proximity to the holographic object; a camera to image the holographic object and the user's finger; a non-transitory storage medium that stores instructions; and a processor that executes the instructions including: responsive to the receipt of images from the camera, perform image analysis to identify a position of the user's finger with respect to the display surface and the holographic object, identify a position of the holographic object with respect to the display surface and identify the proximity of the user's finger with the holographic object; and responsive to the image analysis to identify the proximity of the user's finger with the holographic object, provide an input to the fingerprint scanner to read the fingerprint of the user's finger.
Light field display system for sporting events
A light field (LF) display system for displaying holographic content (e.g., a holographic sporting event or holographic content to augment a holographic sporting event) to viewers in an arena. The LF display system in the arena includes LF display modules tiled together to form an array of LF modules. The array of LF modules create a holographic object volume for displaying the holographic content in the arena. The array of LF modules displays the holographic content to viewers in the viewing volumes. The LF display system can be included in a LF sporting event network. The LF sporting event network allows holographic content to be created at one location and presented at another location. The LF sporting event network includes a network system to manage the digital rights of the holographic sporting event content.
VIRTUAL STEERING WHEEL WITH AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE
According to one embodiment, a method, computer system, and computer program product for manual driving of an autonomous vehicle via a virtual steering wheel. The embodiment may include identifying a user request to manually drive an autonomous vehicle. In response to determining that driving credentials of the user are validated, the embodiment may include displaying a virtual steering wheel to the user within the autonomous vehicle. The embodiment may include providing haptic feedback to the user in response to hand-based interaction with the displayed virtual steering wheel. The embodiment may include enabling manual drive of the autonomous vehicle by the user via the displayed virtual steering wheel.
Method and apparatus for providing tactile sensations
The present disclosure concerns a method and apparatus for the creation of an acoustic field for providing tactile sensations. More particularly, but not exclusively, this disclosure concerns a method and apparatus for the creation of an acoustic field providing tactile sensations for use with an interactive device. The disclosure provides a method of generating a tactile sensation. The method comprises the steps of providing a plurality of acoustic transducers arranged to generate a predetermined distribution of pressure patterns, wherein the pressure patterns comprise a first region providing a first tactile sensation and a second region providing a second, different, tactile sensation.
UTILITY VEHICLE
According to one example, a working machine includes a projection arrangement to generate a hologram, wherein the hologram presents a virtual operating element or a virtual display and a movement/position detection arrangement to detect a movement or a position of an operator. The working machine of the example also includes a control unit to control the operation of the working machine based on the detected movement or position of an operator and based on the basis of the hologram generated by the projection arrangement, wherein the projection arrangement is to generate the hologram at different positions or with different content in association with different operating positions to be assumed by an operator on an operator platform or the movement/position detection arrangement is designed to detect the movement or the position of an operator in different operating positions on the operator platform.
Holographic representations of digital object transfers
Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for representing a transfer of a digital object using holographic images. User input is received that is indicative of a selection of the digital object for transfer from a sending device to a receiving device. Spatial attribute data is generated based at least in part on at least one of a distance or a relative orientation between the sending device and the receiving device, and a transition path is determined based at least in part on the spatial attribute data. Holographic image data is then generated based at least in part on the transition path, and the holographic image data is sent to one or more holographic projectors to cause a first holographic image representative of the digital object and a second holographic image representative of the transition path to be projected.
Light Field Display System Based Digital Signage System
A light field (LF) display system presents holographic content to one or more viewers in a public setting for digital signage applications. In some embodiments, the LF display system includes a sensory feedback assembly, a tracking system and/or a viewer profiling module. The sensory feedback assembly may comprise sensory feedback devices that provide sensory feedback to viewers of the LF display system in tandem with the presented holographic content. The tracking system may comprise cameras used to track the viewers of the LF display system. Based on a viewer's tracked position and/or tracked gaze, the LF display system may generate holographic content that is perceivable by certain viewers but not viewable by others. The viewer profiling module may identify each viewer for providing personalized holographic content and may further monitor and record behavior of viewers for informing subsequent presentations of holographic content by the LF display system.
