HOLOGRAPHIC RECONSTRUCTION APPARATUS AND METHOD
Provided are an improved holographic reconstruction apparatus and method. A holographic reconstruction method includes: obtaining an object hologram of a measurement target object; extracting reference light information from the obtained object hologram; calculating a wavenumber vector constant of the extracted reference light information, and generating digital reference light by calculating a compensation term of the reference light information by using the calculated wavenumber vector constant; extracting curvature aberration information from the object hologram, and then generating digital curvature in which a curvature aberration is compensated for; calculating a compensated object hologram by multiplying the compensation term of the reference light information by the obtained object hologram; extracting phase information of the compensated object hologram; and reconstructing 3-dimensional (3D) shape information and quantitative thickness information of the measurement target object by calculating the quantitative thickness information of the measurement target object by using the extracted phase information of the compensated object hologram.
Illumination device for vehicles
Light-emitting devices for motor vehicles are provided, which comprise a reflection hologram. A light-guiding body is provided to direct light from a light source arrangement onto the hologram.
NB controller and form factors
A system includes a plurality of optical identifiers and a reader for the optical identifiers. Each optical identifier has an optical substrate and a volume hologram (e.g., with unique data, such as a code page) in the optical substrate. The reader for the optical identifiers includes a laser, and a camera. The laser is configured to direct laser light into a selected one of the optical identifiers that has been placed into the reader to produce an image of the associated volume holograms at the camera. The camera is configured to capture the image. The captured image may be stored in a digital format by the system.
IMAGE PROJECTION
Display system and methods including a display device arranged to display a hologram and spatially modulate light and a hologram engine arranged to receive contribution information identifying contributory and non-contributory areas of the display device based on the location of an entrance pupil. The contributory areas of the display device propagate light passing through the entrance pupil at the determined location. The non-contributory areas of the display device propagate light stopped by the entrance pupil at the determined location. The contribution information identifies (i) at least one primary contributory area of the display device that contributes to a primary image and (ii) at least one secondary contributory area of the display device that contributes to a secondary image. The hologram engine is arranged to determine a hologram based on the at least one primary contributory area of the display device identified by the processing engine.
Temperature stabilized holographic sight
A holographic sight comprises a unitary optical component carrier having a plurality of receptacles for receiving optical components. A collimating optic abuts a surface of a first receptacle. A mirror abuts a surface of a second receptacle. A collar is positioned in a third receptacle and a laser diode is positioned within the collar. A first portion of the collar is affixed relative to a first portion of the third receptacle and a second portion of the collar is free to expand and contract relative to the third receptacle. The laser diode is affixed to the collar proximate the second portion and is free to move relative to the third receptacle with expansion and contraction of the second portion. The laser diode, the mirror, and the collimating optic are positioned relative to each other to create an optical path. The collar expands and contracts in response to changes in temperature to compensate for the unitary optical component carrier expanding and contracting in response to changes in temperature.
MODULE CONTROLLING VIEWING WINDOW, DEVICE FOR HOLOGRAM DISPLAY AND METHOD FOR DISPLAYING HOLOGRAM
Disclosed herein a module controlling viewing window, a device for hologram display and a method for displaying hologram. The module controlling viewing window includes: a viewing window forming unit having a first reflective optical system that receives an incident light and forms a viewing window in a user's viewing region; and a viewing angle expanding unit having a second reflective optical system that is arranged in one direction on the viewing window forming unit and expands a viewing angle of the viewing window.
Displaying three-dimensional objects
Methods, apparatus, devices, and systems for displaying three-dimensional objects by individually diffracting different colors of light are provided. In one aspect, an optically diffractive device includes: first and second diffractive components and a color-selective polarizer therebetween. The first diffractive component is configured to diffract a first color of light in a first polarization state incident at a first incident angle with a first diffraction efficiency at a first diffracted angle, and diffract a second color of light in a second polarization state with a diffraction efficiency substantially less than the first diffraction efficiency. The color-selective polarizer is configured to rotate the second polarization state of the second color of light to the first polarization state. The second diffractive component is configured to diffract the second color of light in the first polarization state with a second diffraction efficiency at a second diffracted angle substantially identical to the first diffracted angle.
