SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUGMENTING LIGHTFIELD IMAGES
A system or method for augmenting a lightfield image can include receiving a plurality of images of a subject, overlaying augmentation content on the images, optionally obscuring portions of the augmentation content based on the perspective of the image and the subject, and displaying the aligned images and the augmentation content at a holographic display.
TAGGING AND AUTHENTICATION OF ARTICLES
A computerized system for uniquely tagging and verifying authenticity of an article comprising: an object having a curvature; a computer system adapted to: receive a three-dimensional predetermined image, create a holographic interference pattern created according to the three-dimensional predetermined image and the curvature wherein the holographic interference pattern is applied to the object, project a three-dimensional resulting image projected on a planar surface in response to the holographic interference pattern being illuminated wherein the computer system receives the three-dimensional resulting image, create validation information according to a comparison of the three-dimensional predetermined image and the three-dimensional resulting image
HOLOGRAPHIC DISPLAY
A method of displaying a Computer Generated Holographic (CGH) image by a display, including setting pixel values of a Spatial Light Modulator (SLM) included in a Head Mounted Display (HMD), producing a interference based holographic image at a first location by projecting coherent light onto the SLM, and re-imaging the holographic image from the first location to form a holographic image in front of an eye of a viewer wearing the HMD. Related apparatus and methods are also described.
SUBJECT POSITIONING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Subject positioning systems and methods are provided. A method may include obtaining first information of at least part of a subject when the subject is located at a preset position, and determining, based on the first information, a first position of each of one or more feature points located on the at least part of the subject. The method may include obtaining, using an imaging device, second information of the at least part of the subject when the subject is located at a candidate position. The method may further include determining, based on the second information, a second position of each of the one or more feature points, a first distance between the first position and the second position for each feature point of the one or more feature points, and a target position of the subject based at least in part on the one or more first distances.
ENHANCED REALITY MEDICAL GUIDANCE SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF USE
A system for displaying enhanced reality images of a body includes a fiducial marker patch, an external medical imaging system, a camera, a tool, a controller, and a display. The fiducial marker is configured to be placed on the body. The tool is configured to be inserted into the body for a medical procedure. The controller is configured to develop 2D or 3D images of the tool positioned within the body in real time based upon images from the external medical imaging system and the camera. The display is configured to display the 2D or 3D images in real time.
Projector for forming images on multiple planes
A projector arranged to form a plurality of image reconstructions on different planes disposed on a common projection axis and a corresponding method is disclosed. A hologram engine is arranged to determine a hologram corresponding to each image for image reconstruction, and to form a diffractive pattern including the corresponding hologram for each image. A display engine is arranged to display each diffractive pattern and receive light such that an image reconstruction corresponding to each hologram is formed on a plane of the plurality of different planes. Each image reconstruction comprises image spots arranged in a pattern. Image spots of a first image reconstruction formed on a first plane are interposed between image spots of a second image reconstruction formed on a second plane.
Holographic display apparatus and operating method thereof
A holographic display apparatus and a holographic display method are provided. The holographic display apparatus determines a representative depth from 3D image data; calculates a computer generated hologram (CGH) corresponding to the representative depth on the 3D image data; obtains the modulated CGH by modulating a phase of the CGH to increase an eye box; modulates a light according to the modulated CGH and generates a hologram image; and forms the generated hologram image at the representative depth.
Method for generating three-dimensional shape information of object to be measured, defect detection method, and defect detection device
A method of generating three-dimensional (3D) shape information of an object to be measured from an image including intensity information of an object hologram generated by interference between a reference light reflected from an optical mirror and an object light affected by the object includes checking at least one frequency component included in the image and extracting real image components corresponding to a real image from the frequency component. The method also includes generating a correction light and a real image hologram based on the real image components, generating an intermediate hologram based on the correction light, and generating curvature aberration correction information from the intermediate hologram. The method further includes generating a correction hologram based on the curvature aberration correction information and generating the 3D shape information of the object from the correction hologram.
Illumination apparatus, hologram device, and vehicle control method
An illumination apparatus that illuminates an illumination zone having a first direction and a second direction crossing the first direction is provided with a light source to emit a coherent light beam, and a diffraction optical device to diffract the coherent light beam incident from the light source. The diffraction optical device diffracts the incident coherent light beam so that a width of the illumination zone in the second direction gradually becomes wider along the first direction of the illumination zone from a nearer side to the diffraction optical device.
Context dependent projection of holographic objects
A computing device associated with a user obtains contextual data associated with the user. The contextual data includes information indicating a current location of the user relative to the computing device. The computing device selects one or more applications provided by the computing device based on results of an analysis of the contextual data, and projects one or more holographic objects representing the one or more applications into a viewable area located a predetermined distance from the user.
