ZERO ORDER BLOCKING AND DIVERGING FOR HOLOGRAPHIC IMAGING
A method for directing non-modulated light from a Spatial Light Modulator (SLM) and allowing through modulated light for producing an interference based holographic image, the method including illuminating the SLM with coherent light, thereby producing a mix of light modulated by the SLM and light not modulated by the SLM, and projecting the mix of the modulated light and the not modulated light along an optical axis onto a volume grating, wherein the volume grating directs the not modulated light away from the holographic image and allows through modulated light for producing the holographic image. Related apparatus and methods are also described.
Hologram printing method and apparatus using mask
A method and an apparatus for printing a hologram by using a mask are provided. A method generates a hologram fringe pattern, splits the hologram fringe pattern on a hogel basis, generates the split hogels, masks a part of the generated hogel, and prints the masked hogel on a hologram medium. Accordingly, an empty space which occurs between hogels when a hologram is printed is prevented from being generated by using a mask, so that a fill factor can be effectively enhanced, and eventually, image quality of a hologram can be enhanced.
HYBRID BACKGROUND EXTRACTION IN ELECTRON HOLOGRAPHY
Embodiments herein relate to a process for electron holography image background extraction. A system can comprise a memory that stores, and a processor that executes, computer executable components. The computer executable components can comprise a blurring component that executes a primary blurring action and a secondary blurring action on an original electron holography (EH) image characterized by a set of pixels having a set of original pixel values, and a generating component that generates a set of modified pixel values, for the set of pixels, based on a difference of a set of first pixel values, of the set of pixels, resulting from the primary blurring action and a set of second pixel values, of the set of pixels, resulting from the secondary blurring action.
Method and apparatus for filtering noise for holographic display
A method and apparatus for filtering noise for a holographic display are provided. The noise filtering apparatus includes a first filter implemented using a volume grating for filtering DC noise in light modulated by a spatial light modulator or a second filter implemented using a volume grating or a thin-film filter, which filters high-order noise in the light.
