A system with devices for hanging picture frames, mirrors or the like comprising a wall member cooperating with a corresponding frame member being adjustable and securable. The devices are installed in pairs, one device on each side of the frame or like. The devices have two mating halves, the upper halves affixed to the frame and the lower halves attached to a wall or other vertical surface. The devices are placed on a wall be use of adhesive and then permanently attached by screws or like fasteners. The devices permit adjustment to height and alignment by set screws and flutes. The devices prevent accidental misalignment and mis-location after installation and impede unauthorized removal.

PLANAR DISPLAY ASSEMBLY

A planar display assembly is provided with a pane with a front reflective surface and a rear surface. An array of mounting plates is provided, each with a first fastener, and a polygonal mounting plate adhered to the rear surface by an adhesive. A plurality of second fasteners is each engaged with one of the array of first fasteners for linear adjustment relative to the pane in a direction generally perpendicular to the pane to support the planar display assembly upon an upright support surface. Each mounting plate is oriented upon the pane rear surface such that at least one vertex extends away from the corresponding first fastener in a direction toward another sequential first fastener within the array of first fasteners. A metal bracket is adapted to be mounted to the upright support surface. The bracket has at least one enclosed cleat to receive two of the second fasteners.

FRAMED ART HANGING SYSTEM UTILIZING A MAGNETIC CONNECTION COMBINED WITH A MECHANICAL CONNECTION
20170007046 · 2017-01-12 ·

The invention relates to a framed art hanging system for hanging pictures and other similar items such as art, photos, diplomas, posters, paintings and framed sports memorabilia on walls. The system allows the installer of a framed picture to easily hang the picture utilizing the combination of a magnetic connection and a mechanical connection. The magnetic connection is achieved by utilizing a magnet, preferably adhered to a plate which is attached to either the back of the picture frame or to the wall and a metal plate which is magnetically attracted to the magnet, the metal plate being placed on the other location (either the back of the picture frame or to the wall). Three example ways to achieve a mechanical connection are described. The first way is to place an abrasive coating on either the frame plate or the magnet plate and a deformable substance coating on the other. The second way is to combine fins and grooves, one being placed on the frame plate and the other being placed on the magnet plate. The last way is to utilize geometric protrusions and depressions, one being placed on the frame plate and the other being placed on the magnet plate.
