A watchband for a watch case that has straight upper and lower edges, each edge having a channel, and a cylindrical boss protruding from a back surface of the watch case. The watchband includes a mounting structure including a base having an aperture therein, and first and second bars connected to the base. A bracelet extends in an elongation direction between a first end connected to the mounting structure and a free end spaced from the mounting structure. When the watch case is assembled to the watchband, the first bar is positioned in one of the channels, the second bar is positioned in another one of the channels, and the cylindrical boss is positioned in the aperture. Optionally, the bracelet may include a hinge to facilitate application of the watchband to a user's wrist.

The watch band can stretch and conform to the user based on the elasticity within each strand and based on the ability of the strands to move relative to each other. A portable electronic device is provided, including a main body, a C-shaped member, and a hinge module, wherein the main body includes a display surface and the C-shaped member includes an opening. The hinge module pivotally connects the main body with the C-shaped member. When the main body is situated in a first position, the main body covers the opening. When the main body rotates from the first position around an axis to a second position relative to the C-shaped member via the hinge module, the main body is away from the opening. An acute angle is formed between the axis and the display surface.

The first wrist band unit is extended in opposite direction from the second wrist band unit, and accommodates the display assembly. The at least one reader is disposed to face in a tangential direction to a surface of the wrist band unit. The first wrist band unit has an attachment component and the attachment component is detachably attached to at least one of the display assembly and the second wrist band unit.
