WEARABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR PROVIDING DEPTH CHANGE FEEDBACK

A wearable electronic device comprises a housing, a feedback device, a depth sensor, and a processing element. The feedback device is located in the housing and configured to generate a vibration. The depth sensor is configured to generate a signal indicative of a current depth of the housing. The processing element is in electronic communication with the feedback device and the depth sensor. The processing element is configured to determine the current depth based on the signal indicative of a current depth and control the feedback device to generate the vibration in a pattern indicative of a rate of change in depth based at least in part on the current depth.

Pressure sensor occlusion mitigation systems and methods

Aspects of the subject technology relate to electronic devices with pressure sensors. Pressure sensor occlusion may be detected based on a comparison of a variance of pressure data from the pressure sensor with a variance of acceleration data from an accelerometer of the device. If a ratio of the pressure data variance to the acceleration data variance is above a threshold, occlusion may be identified. Data from other sensors in the device or in an external device, or other features of the pressure data, may be used to identify a type of occlusion.

TIMEPIECE AND INDICATING HAND CONTROL METHOD

A timepiece includes a display unit including a first indicating hand and a dial so as to display a time, in which the dial has a first scale having a number for showing an absolute value of a positive numerical value within a plurality of numerical values indicated by the first indicating hand, a second scale having a number for showing an absolute value of a negative numerical value within the plurality of numerical values, a first sign for showing that the numerical value indicated by the first indicating hand is positive, and a second sign for showing that the indicated numerical value is negative.

Security band for securing and detecting access to a container
10357433 · 2019-07-23 ·

A security band for securing a container containing medication, comprising a hub and a strap, the security band is adapted to secure the container by attaching to the container in a securing position where the hub contacts the lid and the strap wraps around the bottom of the container, preventing access to medication contained within the container unless the security band is released or disturbed. The security band further comprises at least one sensor, which may be pressure switch, a first stretch sensor, or a second stretch sensor, and further comprises a control module. The pressure switch and the first and second stretch sensors detect the occurrence of an access event when the security band is released from the container or disturbed from the securing position. The control module wireless transmits an access alert signal to a user client upon the occurrence of the access event.

Semi-impermeable closure device

A portable object includes a case forming a housing inside which is arranged a device that requires air to operate, and a closure device including at least one permeable element. The closure device is arranged to provide impermeability to liquids while allowing the atmosphere inside the housing to communicate with the external atmosphere. The case comprises a recess in which a through opening is made, the recess being closed by the closure device. The closure device includes a permeable module mounted to move such that, in a gaseous environment, the permeable module is in a rest position allowing gases to penetrate the case opening through the permeable module, and in a liquid environment, the permeable module is in an operating position in which gases and liquids are blocked. The permeable module comprises a tubular support at the end of which is fixed a membrane.
