Article comprising a temperature-conditioned surface, thermoelectric control unit, and method for temperature-conditioning the surface of an article
The present invention provides systems, methods, and articles for temperature conditioning a surface. An article is formed from a first layer having a plurality of openings and a second layer having a corresponding plurality of openings. At least one interior chamber constructed and configured to retain a fluid without leaking is defined between an interior surface of the first layer and an interior surface of the second layer. At least one flexible fluid supply line delivers the fluid to the at least one interior chamber. At least one flexible fluid return line removes the fluid from the at least one interior chamber. At least one control unit that is operable to selectively cool or heat the fluid is attached to the at least one flexible fluid supply line and the at least one flexible fluid return line.
BED SHEET
A fitted bed sheet that includes a top sheet. An upper edge sheet strip is attached to the top sheet along a lateral edge of the top sheet such that the length of the upper edge sheet is coupled with the lateral edge of the top sheet. The width of the upper edge sheet strip is defined such that at least a portion of the upper edge sheet strip extends orthogonally to the surface of the mattress so as to stretch over a portion of a side of the mattress. A corner sheet has: a first end attached to the top sheet, a corner sheet side attached to the upper edge sheet strip, and a second end opposite the first end. The second end includes an elastic cord with which, when the fitted bed sheet is placed on the mattress, the fitted bed sheet captures a corner of the mattress.
Bed Linen with Pocket Caddy
The device relates to bed linen (100) to which a pocket caddy (300) may be either permanently attached or fastened/unfastened. The bed linen (100) has cornered edges that can be easily fastened and unfastened using edge fastening means (200). Three types of pocket caddies are presented that allow bed linen to store objects: a directly attached pocket caddy (310), a back wall pocket caddy (320), and a detachable pocket caddy (330). The pocket caddies (300) can either be permanently attached to the bed linen (100) or be fastened/unfastened by the use of pocket caddy fastening means (220). The bed linen (100) may be custom fit by the use of detachable extensions (350). The pocket caddies can be made for a non-permeable material, which prevents soilage of the the bed linen (100) when solids and liquids are present in the pocket caddy (300).
System and Method for A Fitted Elastic Bed Sheet
An easily foldable fitted sheet is disclosed, made of a flat top section with a backside of fabric flat against a backside of the flat bottom section joined together at their outlining edges. The flat top section is an inelastic rectangular sheet of fabric sewn all around at the outlining edges to the flat bottom section which is an elastic rectangular frame of fabric with no middle center and only one seam. When the fitted sheet's flat bottom section is stretched over any mattress it forms the side panels giving a tight fit and grips the underside of the mattress with the silicone beading or strip that is adhered to the inside edge of the bottom section. When the sheet is released from the mattress the bottom section's elastic material retains its flat rectangular shape and lies flat for ease of folding and storage.
Passive encasement zipper containment system
A device is disclosed that provides parasite, dust mite and allergen protection for an encasement used for a mattress or foundation. The device can be part of the original encasement or added as an after-market item to a conventional encasement to prevent the egress of parasites, dust mites and allergens from the gap between the zipper slide and the zipper stop and prevent movement of the zipper slide when the zipper is completely zipped up. The device includes a at least one compressible material that is used. The compressible material is compressed to seal the gap and prevent movement of the zipper slide. In one embodiment of the invention, the device allows the mattress or foundation within the encasement to breathe while blocking parasites, dust mites and allergens from escaping from within the encasement.
Fitted mattress covering
A fitted mattress cover is provided, having elastic elements at each corner which hold the cover in place. A corner elastic element runs along each corner seam, and is attached to the center of a diagonal elastic element. The diagonal elastic acts a lock system to prevent movement of the fitted sheet during any pull from the top of the fitted sheet. The corner elastic helps to hold the corner of the cover to the mattress, and also prevents peaking of the corner seam, leading to an improved appearance and helps to fit mattresses of different thickness. Elbow elastics at the corners, perpendicular to the corner elastics, hold the side panels tightly to the mattress and inhibit them from sliding upwards.
TOTAL FIT COTTON FABRIC
A woven textile fabric that is lightweight, soft, smooth, supple and durable has a composition including a regenerated cellulosic fiber, cotton and an elastane fiber such as spandex. The fabric includes warp yarn and weft yarn, and the weft yarn is a core spun yarn made of an elastane fiber core surrounded by a sheath of blended regenerated cellulosic fiber and cotton. The fabric construction may range from about 44 ends/inch to about 300 ends/inch and from about 30 picks/inch to about 600 picks/inch. The warp count may range from 2 s count to 140 s count, and the weft count ranges from 2 s count to 170 s count. The fabric, which can be made using a series of innovative process steps, is particularly useful as a bed linen.
2X2 TWILL BEDDING SYSTEM
A twill weave sheeting fabric has warp yarn and weft yarn consisting of a cross weave of cotton rich or cotton blended with any cellulosic fibre and polyester. In a primary embodiment, the fabric has a 2/2 cross weave, 2 over and 2 under. In another embodiment, the fabric has a 1/2 cross weave, 1 over and 2 under. In another embodiment, the fabric has a 1/4 cross weave, 1 over and 4 under.
COVER WITH WEAR DETECTION PROPERTIES
A cover includes a wear detection component. The wear detection component includes a wear layer and a visual wear indicator. The wear layer is designed and configured to reduce its thickness to a threshold thickness, or to disintegrate, after a preselected number of cleanings have been experience by the cover. The visual wear indicator is configured to indicate to the user that the cover has been through a threshold number of cleanings. When the wear layer has reduced its thickness to the threshold thickness, or has disintegrated, the wear layer reveals the visual wear indicator, indicating to the user that the cover is ready for replacement.
