PILLOW STORAGE DEVICE
A pillow storage device includes a rollable pad including first and second end portions each having inner and outer surfaces, and a connecting portion having inner and outer surfaces. The rollable pad is switchable between an unfolded state, in which the inner surfaces of the first and second end portions and the connecting portion are spread out, and a folded state, in which the rollable pad is rolled toward the second end portion. A fastening unit includes first and second fasteners spaced apart from each other when the rollable pad is in the unfolded state and engaged to each other when the rollable pad is in the folded state to fix the inner surface of the second end portion to the outer surface of the connecting portion.
Cooling pillow
A cooling pillow generates a gust of cooled air when compressed. A solid, resilient, compressible foam block forms a core of the cooling pillow. A phase change material layer adhered to a surface of the foam block. Holes can be formed in the foam block to enhance the feel of the pillow and to improve the speed at which air is displaced when the cooling pillow is compressed. A pillow protector encloses of lightweight breathable material encloses the foam block. The pillow protector prevents the foam block and cooling layer from being abraded during insertion and removal from a pillow case. The pillow case encloses the pillow protector, which in tour holds the foam block and cooling layer. The pillow case has a breathable surface. The breathable surface is oriented to overly the cooling layer. A performance material can be used to form the breathable surface. To use the cooling pillow, the cooling pillow is oriented with the cooling layer and the breathable surface facing upward. The user then rests his or her head on the top of the pillow and compresses the cooling pillow with the weight of his or her head. As the pillow compresses, air is displaced and is cooled by the phase change material in the cooling layer. The result is a gust of cooled air against the user's head and neck.
VARIABLE CONTOUR PILLOW AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
Variable contour pillow and method of making the same, comprising: a pillow cover preferably with internal seams, a plurality of internal interconnecting members that define the thickness and/or taper of the pillow in desired locations along the length and/or width of the pillow, the method comprising steps of attaching the interconnecting members during the process of filling the pillow, alternately preferably hand filling behind an interconnecting member, interconnecting the interconnecting member, filling in front of the first interconnecting member and a next interconnecting member, interconnecting the next interconnecting member, and so on, until the pillow is completely filled and desired multiple levels of fill and/or surface tapers are achieved, with specific application to construction of a form-fitting body pillow with variable shape and thickness of fill material.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FACE CRADLE COVER
System and method for adjustable, seamless face cradle cover providing a barrier between a patient from any unprotected and potentially unsanitary areas of the face cradle while allowing the patient to breathe freely and prevent creases forming on the patient's face.
Bed with negative space
A bed defining a negative space to accommodate side sleepers and stomach sleepers by providing a space into which the user's arms and shoulders can extend. Channel pillows can be placed inside the negative space to provide support for the user's head while allowing the user's hands and shoulders to slide in between the channel pillow and the wall that define the negative space. The negative space is formed into a foundation having an upper torso region, a lower torso region, and a transition region therebetween. The transition region can comprise an angled wall. A cushion layer with a slanted wall is configured to cover the transition region and lower torso region of the foundation. An upper, comfort layer can be provided with a cutout that aligns with the negative space when placed on top of the foundation and cushion layer.
ULTRASONIC PEEL AWAY TEXTILE GOODS
A multi-layered article for bedding or clothing protection formed of a base layer and having a waterproof or water resistant side, together with a plurality of sheet layers, each sheet layer having a waterproof or water resistant side; and commonly welded together preferably with performations. The sheet layers are individually removable as needed.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS ASSOCIATED WITH A SLEEPING PILLOW
A sleeping pillow that provides gentle pressure over the scalp and crown of a user's head, block out light, and muffle sound.
Portable mattress seating apparatus
A portable mattress seating apparatus attachable to a mattress. The portable mattress seating apparatus clips onto a location on the peripheral of any conventional mattress. The apparatus has a retaining member that is retained under a mattress and above the box spring. The retaining member is attached to a vertical member adjacent to the side of the mattress. The vertical member is attached to another seating member that is oriented parallel to the top of the mattress face. The seat member is attached to a back-rest member. The back-rest member is attached to the seating member distal to the side of the mattress. The back-rest member is adjustable, allowing the back rest to be at acute, obtuse or 90-degree angles to the seating member. Further, the apparatus includes supporting members to spread the weight of a seated person.
Pillow with a removable insert and method of manufacture thereof
A pillow is provided with an insert or inner pillow that is removable. Having removable insert or inner pillow enables filling of the removable inner pillow with a different filling material that is not amenable to washing. Thus the outer pillow that is in contact with a person's body and tends to accumulate dust and microbes among the fill can be washed after removal of the insert or inner pillow. The insert or inner pillow can be filled with a less expensive filling material such as synthetic fibers, viscoelastic foam, latex etc. whereas the outer pillow can have a superior quality filling material that is softer, fluffier and has better insulating properties such as down or down mixed/blended with feather, thus providing an affordable pillow with comfort and superior characteristics of down and can be laundered to maintain hygiene. The outer surface of the inner pillow may include a fluid impermeable material.
