Novel Head Pillow Apparatus with Neck Support, Shoulder Cavity and Height Adjustability
A novel head pillow, at a top-frontal region thereof, includes a forwardly protruding neck-support ledge of overlying relation to an undercut shoulder cavity. A substantially flat plateau at the head pillow's topside extends rearwardly from a transitional top-front corner of the neck-support ledge, which curves downwardly to a front face of the neck-support ledge. Rearwardly of the plateau, the topside of the pillow also features a downwardly and rearwardly sloped mid-region of upward concavity. A bottom insert is selectively receivable in a bottom cavity of the head pillow to adjust an effective working height thereof. The novel head pillow design avoids pressure on the shoulder socket, and supports vertebrae C1 through C7, T1 and T2 for restorative rest of associated muscles. The profiled topside of the pillow cradles the head, and allows neck elongation for improved blood flow, all while maintaining an optimal straight neck posture.
Functional pillow for manipulation therapy
Disclosed is a functional pillow for manipulation therapy, the functional pillow comprising: an occipital region accommodating portion which accommodates and supports an occipital region; a cervical vertebrae support portion which extends from the occipital region accommodating portion and supports cervical vertebrae; and a fourth ventricle expanding protrusion which protrudes from the occipital region accommodating portion.
Neck pillow apparatus
A neck pillow apparatus is disclosed and configured for being selectively positionable and removably engagable with a main pillow. In at least one embodiment, the apparatus provides a substantially cylindrical pillow portion sized and configured for supporting a neck of a user in either a supine position or side position. The pillow portion also provides a cushion. An engagement portion is connected to the pillow portion at an at least one point on or substantially proximal to a lateral centerline of the pillow portion, the engagement portion configured for being selectively wrapped longitudinally around the main pillow. During use of the apparatus, the pillow portion is capable of being selectively positionable relative to the main pillow so as to comfortably provide proper neutral cervical alignment and support to the neck of the user, regardless of whether the user is laying in a supine position or side position.
Multiple pod pillow system
The multiple pod pillow system according to the present invention may be configured as a headpiece multiple pod pillow system a central pod, a first pod, and a second pod. Each of the pods may be independent and self-contained relative to the other pods. The multiple pod pillow system may also include hand straps or attachment fixtures that allow for the optional connection of one or more additional extension pods. The aforementioned hand straps and the aforementioned attachment fixtures may attach to the one or more additional extension pods. The one or more individual pods of the multiple pod pillow system may be configured, alone or in combination, to support the weight of the head and keep the neck at a height that will keep it in line with the spine when the user is sleeping on user's back or side.
CPAP PILLOW APPARATUS AND METHOD
A CPAP pillow relies on a shell shaped to provide large reservoirs of fill particles near or against the shoulders of a user and around and under the neck. The system and method uncouple the spring forces supporting a user from the forces used to configure the shape of the pillow in use. Thus, a user can fit the pillow to the body profile in three dimensions with substantially no residual pre-loading to cause discomfort, pressure points, or unsupported regions. The pillow supports, contacts, and cradles the head and neck. It accommodates shoulder intrusion without moving the pillow away from supporting the neck.
Sleeping Pillow
A pillow accommodating a variety of sleep positions, including left and right side variants of these positions, is shown and described. The pillow includes two scallops or recesses at a body facing lower edge, and an intermediate projection between the recesses. The projection is tapered to enable a user to lie on an inclined ramp. The pillow may be constructed from stacked polymeric foam slabs, with a pocketed fabric cover. Three pockets for accepting conventional pillow fill may be provided. A form fitting pillow case may enclose the fabric cover.
Multiple level pillow
The pillow provides multiple levels to place one's head and neck on to accommodate different lengths from the tip of the shoulder to the base of the neck when one lies on either of one's sides and different lengths from the center of the curve of the back of the neck perpendicular to the plane of the back extended up towards the head when one lies on one's back.
Therapeutic pillow
A cervical orthotic device is generally provided. In an example, the device can include a base, sidewalls extending upwardly from the base, and a cervical support surface opposite the base and configured to unite the sidewalls. In certain examples, the sidewalls can include opposingly paired lateral sidewalls and first and second longitudinal sidewalls. In some examples, the cervical support surface can include a first planar portion adjacent the first longitudinal sidewall, a second planar portion adjacent the second longitudinal sidewall, and an arcuate portion intermediate the planar portions.
Cavity contour pillow
A pillow can include a head support surface configured to support at least a portion of a person's head, a first support having a first support surface with a first apex disposed at a first height a second support having a second support surface with a second apex disposed at a second height, and a third support having a third support surface with a third apex disposed at a third height. The support surfaces can support at least a portion of a person's neck when at least a portion of their head is in contact with the head support surface. One or more of the heights can differ from one or more other heights. A pillow can include one or more openings and one or more inserts configured to be disposed therein.
Health pillow
A health pillow includes a supine portion and two side-lying portions symmetrically arranged on the two opposite sides of the supine portion. Each of the side-lying portions has a front surface. The supine portion has a supporting protrusion extending beyond the two front surfaces, and the supporting protrusion has a flat surface extending outwardly and away from the two front surfaces. Whereby, the health pillow can help people to get better sleep quality.
