Adjustable cushion device
This disclosure relates to a cushion and more particularly to a pillow providing cervical alignment by way of a cervical spine support structure that is positioned along a major axis of the pillow, and that can be rotated around the major axis. The pillow utilizes one or more of the following features: 1) a dimensionally correct platform for the proper sleep posture of a majority of body types on a wide array of mattress types; 2) A non-crush zone integrated cervical support roll which can be adjusted for extended durations of supportive comfort. (The rollin and of itselfis unique compared to the standard of care because of its foam densities and its semi-hollowed out section); and 3) A sleep posture platform with a side sleeping position and a back-sleeping position. The pillow standardizes care by placement of the support roll inside a dimensionally correct platform using different materials.
A side sleeper pillow
A side sleeper pillow that has a protruding portion at one side of a pillow body to maintain a side sleeping posture of a sleeper by preventing the sleeper from turning around on the side sleeper pillow. The pillow is simple in structure, easy to produce, and enables a side sleeper to maintain a side sleeping posture by preventing the sleeper from flipping backward to sleep on the back. Therefore, snoring of the sleeper may be mitigated or eliminated.
Neck Pillow
Certain embodiments herein relate to a neck pillow comprising a lower tier and an upper tier. In various embodiments, the lower tier is configured for a user to lay on when sleeping on his or her back, and the upper tier is configured for the user to lay on when sleeping on his or her side. The lower tier and the upper tier may be connected via a middle section. The bottom of the lower tier and the upper tier may comprise a flat bottom that is disposed flat against the surface a user is sleeping on.
CPAP PILLOW APPARATUS AND METHOD
A CPAP pillow relies on a shell shaped to provide large reservoirs of fill particles near or against the shoulders of a user and around and under the neck. The system and method uncouple the spring forces supporting a user from the forces used to configure the shape of the pillow in use. Thus, a user can fit the pillow to the body profile in three dimensions with substantially no residual pre-loading to cause discomfort, pressure points, or unsupported regions. The pillow supports, contacts, and cradles the head and neck. It accommodates shoulder intrusion without moving the pillow away from supporting the neck.
Snore Reduction Device and Method
A sleep assist device suitable for placement against at least the shoulder blade of a user, and methods of making and using same. The device has a generally quadrilateral cross-section with a top surface, a bottom surface, a rear surface, an inclined front surface, and a bendable, conformable retention tab extendable along the bed away from the bottom surface. Preferably, the front surface is at an angle ranging from thirty five degrees to eighty degrees, and more preferably forty degrees to sixty five degrees, relative to the bottom surface.
SPINE SUPPORT INSERT FOR ADJUSTABLE CUSHION DEVICE
This disclosure relates to a cushion and more particularly to a pillow having a hollow compartment in which a cervical spine support can be disposed therein. The cervical spine support can comprise two or more segments having different densities or geometries. The cervical spine support can be rotated so as to provide a user with different levels of firmness while resting. The cervical spine support can also include functional components designed to increase user comfort.
SMART PILLOW TO AVOID NECK PAIN
A smart pillow to avoid neck pain and pressure sores and promote healthy sleep includes a body, a processing unit, a plurality of pressure sensors, and a plurality of air bags. The pressure sensors and the air bags are mounted in the body. Each air bag includes a bi-directional valve. The pressure sensors can detect values of pressure on the body and thus the body of a user, and transmit the detected pressure values to the processing unit. The processing unit can control the bi-directional valves of the air bags in accordance with the received pressure values to adjust air amounts of each of the air bags by indrawing or releasing air. The smart pillow guides and supports a user's neck.
