Clock with Lighting Elements
Disclosed is a device for measuring and indicating time with light. The device includes an elongated housing member with at least one chamber having a defined volume for lighting elements embedded therein. Each chamber is configured to represent a different unit of time such that a first chamber represents a first unit of time and the next adjacent chamber represents a next or a previous unit of time. The lighting elements illuminate each chamber based at least partially on the unit of time such that the rate in which each chamber illuminate can differ.
Time display, method of presenting time information and timekeeping devices
A timepiece, time display, and method of presenting time information. The timepiece includes clock means for measuring the passage of time in standard units, and maintaining a current value. A visual display is included for displaying one of the standard units of the current value at a time. The time piece further comprises means for selecting one of the standard units and presenting the selected unit of the current value on the visual display. The current value is represented by the position of an indicator within a defined space on the visual display.
LIQUID CRYSTAL CONTROL CIRCUIT, ELECTRONIC TIMEPIECE, AND LIQUID CRYSTAL CONTROL METHOD
A liquid crystal controller is provided for a liquid crystal panel having a plurality of pixels, each of which includes a memory element and a display element. The memory element is configured to hold electric potential depending on an image signal and is configured to change the held electric potential based on activation of an enable signal. The display element is configured to be applied voltage depending on the electric potential which the memory element holds. The liquid crystal controller is configured to: hold off outputting the enable signal, for a period th before polarity of AC voltage applied to the display element is inverted and a period (tr+ts) after the polarity of the AC voltage is inverted; and hold off inversion of the polarity of the AC voltage, for an output period of the enable signal and the period th after the output period.
LIQUID CRYSTAL CONTROL CIRCUIT, ELECTRONIC TIMEPIECE, AND LIQUID CRYSTAL CONTROL METHOD
A liquid crystal control circuit is provided for driving a MIP liquid crystal panel. The MIP liquid crystal panel has a plurality of pixels, each of which includes a memory element and a display element. The memory element holds electric potential depending on an image signal. The display element is applied voltage depending on the electric potential which the memory element holds. The liquid crystal control circuit includes an inversion unit that inverts polarity of AC voltage in a first mode in which an enable signal is output. The AC voltage being is applied to the display element in synchronization with outputting of the enable signal. The enable signal activates the image signal output to the MIP liquid crystal panel.
LIQUID CRYSTAL CONTROL CIRCUIT, ELECTRONIC TIMEPIECE, AND LIQUID CRYSTAL CONTROL METHOD
A liquid crystal control circuit includes: a first terminal that outputs a rewriting signal for rewriting a plurality of pixels; a second terminal that periodically designates a start timing of the rewriting signal; a third terminal that outputs a polarity signal for designating polarity of AC voltage; a first circuit that identifies a next second inversion timing of any first inversion timing at which the polarity is inverted; a calculator that calculates a first start timing after the first inversion timing based on the start timing; a second circuit that determines whether the second inversion timing is within a period from a predetermined time before the first start timing to the first start timing; and an inversion unit that inverts polarity of the polarity signal after the rewriting signal starting from the first start timing is stopped, when the second inversion timing is within the period.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE WITH SIMULATED ANALOG INDICATOR INTERACTION WITH DIGITAL INFORMATION/IMAGES
An electronic device including at least one analog information indicator, a digital display for displaying information and/or images, and a controller, wherein the controller positions the information and/or image(s) to simulate physical interaction between the information and/or images displayable on the digital display and the at least one analog information indicator.
System and method for EUICC personalization and network provisioning
A method is provided for self-provisioning and personalization of a companion device. A primary user device receives input to initiate a cellular service activation process for a companion device, wherein the companion device includes a preloaded version of a service provider application for facilitating remote provisioning. The primary device provides, to the companion device, an updated version of the service provider application that replaces the preloaded version. The primary device receives, from the companion device, an embedded universal integrated circuit card (eUICC) identifier for the companion device and forwards the eUICC identifier to a network device and an identifier for the primary device. When the network device verifies that the cellular service activation for the companion device can be provisioned, the primary device receives an activation code for the companion device to use to initiate a request for a new line of service for the eUICC identifier and forwards the activation code to the companion device.
