Wax Thermostat
A wax motor thermostat for an engine cooling system. The thermostat includes a cylinder having at least a first wax portion and a second wax portion each configured to expand at different temperatures. A piston is movable in response to expansion of the first and second wax portions to move the wax motor thermostat from a closed position to a fully open position or a partially open position between the closed and fully open positions to allow coolant to flow through the wax motor thermostat.
High temperature protective valve and the use thereof in a shower head
A high temperature protective valve and the use thereof in a shower head, wherein the high temperature protective valve includes a body, the body having a complete one-way waterway, and also a thermo-sensitive assembly and a pivot valve assembly. The thermo-sensitive assembly is fixed inside the body and has a memory alloy body which can be immersed in the waterway and extend and retract along the direction of the flow. The pivot valve assembly is also fixed inside the body downstream waterway of the thermo-sensitive assembly. The pivot valve assembly has a pivot valve plug which is controllable by the thermo-sensitive assembly so as to cut off the waterway. The high temperature protective valve of such a structure has a fast response and can achieve good protective effects at a high temperature.
THERMAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM CONTROL AND HEAT EXCHANGER LIFE EXTENSION
According to an aspect, a method includes generating, by a computer processor, thermo-fluid parameter estimates of a thermal management system (TMS) of an engine based on sensed parameters and monitoring for TMS component failures based on the thermo-fluid parameter estimates and the sensed parameters. Thermo-mechanical parameter estimates are generated based on selected thermo-fluid parameters. Life usage estimates and life usage rate estimates are generated based on the selected thermo-fluid parameters and the thermo-mechanical parameter estimates. Life usage rate targets are generated based on external commands and the life usage estimates. Limits and goals are modified based on the life usage rate estimates, failure flags, and the life usage rate targets. A model predictive control is applied to command one or more TMS control components based on thermo-mechanical model parameters, the failure flags, and the limits and goals.
Thermostat for controlling coolant circuit
A thermostat for controlling a coolant circuit comprising: a housing assembly defining an internal cavity and first and second inlets for establishing fluid communication between the internal cavity and the coolant circuit; a wax pack arranged in the internal cavity, the wax pack comprising a push bar and a wax pack body; a blocking frame configured to be driven by the wax pack body to open/close the first inlet; and a main valve block configured to be driven by the wax pack body and/or the blocking frame to open/close the second inlet; wherein the wax pack body comprises: a casing in which wax is filled; a rubber hose having a cylindrical body inserted in the casing; and a cover having a clamping portion clamped onto the casing to seal the rubber hose between the casing and the cover.
Engine cooling system, electronic thermostat control system and control method for the same
An electronic thermostat control system may include a control duty determination portion outputting PWM duty signal for controlling the coolant temperature according to a coolant temperature, a rising rate of the coolant temperature, an engine speed, a load and a vehicle speed, a driving portion applying a time condition to the PWM duty signal output by the control duty determination portion for controlling outputting interval, and a fault diagnosis portion diagnosing operations of the electronic thermostat by analyzing the signals output by the driving portion and changes of the coolant temperature.
THERMOSTATIC VALVE HAVING A SLEEVE
A thermostatic valve including a body, defining a first pipe for fluid to flow therethrough, into which at least a second pipe and at least a third pipe transversely lead, a sleeve, movable inside the valve body to place at least one of the second and third pipes in communication with the first pipe, a thermostatic element, including a stationary portion and a movable portion movable by a change in the volume of a heat-expansible material in the thermostatic element and translatably connected to the sleeve, a housing for supporting the thermostatic element, rigidly connected to the stationary portion of the thermostatic element, immobilised inside the first pipe, and sealingly engages with the sleeve, and a sealing ring between the sleeve and valve body.
Thermal switch
A thermal switch having an on-state and an off-state is provided. First and second plates are composed from a thermally conductive material. The first and second plates are connected to form an internal cavity having a channel defining a gap between the first and second plate. The first reservoir is coupled to the channel and contains a thermally conductive liquid. The actuator is coupled to the first reservoir and the channel and is moveable between a first state and a second state corresponding to the on-state and the off-state of the thermal switch, respectively. Thermally conductive liquid is allowed to flow from the first reservoir to the channel when the actuator is in the first state and allowed to flow from the channel to the first reservoir when the actuator is in the second state.
Hot water recirculation valve
A recirculation valve for use with a tankless water heater in a system that includes hot and cold water fixtures and a cold water supply. The recirculation valve includes a valve body having an inlet connection, a pair of outlet connections and an internal chamber; a thermostatic element that is disposed in a first portion of the internal chamber of the valve body and includes an actuation body that is responsive to water temperature; wherein the valve body further has a port opening that is disposed between the thermostatic element and a second portion of the internal chamber; wherein the thermostatic element further includes a piston constructed and arranged to operatively extend from said actuation body when the actuation body is heated, and a plunger that is carried by and is moveably responsive to the actuation body; and whereby, when the actuation body is heated, the valve transitions from an open position to a closed position by the piston moving the actuation body and plunger so that the plunger moves to seal against the port opening of the valve body.

A recirculation valve for use with a tankless water heater in a system that includes hot and cold water fixtures and a cold water supply. FAUCET ASSEMBLY WITH INTEGRATED ANTI-SCALD DEVICE
Improved fluid supply assemblies for fluid systems are provided. In exemplary embodiments, the present disclosure provides for improved fluid supply assemblies and related features, systems and methods of use. More particularly, the present disclosure provides for advantageous faucet assemblies (e.g., electrically or mechanically actuated faucet assemblies) having an integrated anti-scald device and having an integrated temperature mixing valve. The present disclosure provides for a faucet assembly having an integrated temperature mixing valve, and/or having an integrated anti-scald device configured to stop the inlet flow of hot water in the event the mixed outlet water temperature exceeds a user-selected set point. Advantageous faucet assemblies of the present disclosure can prevent scalding as defined by ASSE 1070. Improved, convenient and effective systems and methods for utilizing improved faucet assemblies in fluid systems are provided.
