SYSTEM FOR ABNORMAL CONDITION DETECTION USING NEAREST NEIGHBOR
One embodiment provides a method, including: receiving, from at least one sensor operatively coupled to a mechanical device, sensor data corresponding to a function of the mechanical device; accessing, from an environmental database, information regarding at least one environmental condition in proximity to a geographical location of the mechanical device; generating, using a processor, a correlative value for the mechanical device, wherein the correlative value identifies a correlation between the sensor data corresponding to a function of the mechanical device and the at least one environmental condition; assigning the correlative value as a baseline correlative value to the mechanical device; monitoring the sensor data corresponding to a function of the mechanical device and the at least one environmental condition and updating the correlative value; identifying, using a processor, the correlative value for the mechanical device has exceeded a predetermined threshold as compared to the baseline correlative value; and notifying a user that the correlative value for the mechanical device has exceeded the predetermined threshold. Other aspects are described and claimed.
TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED THAWING METHOD AND APPARATUS
The present invention relates to a method of thawing and an apparatus for performing the method.
HEATED ATM TOUCH SCREEN
An ATM device may include an external frame, a touch screen component coupled to the external frame, and a heating element. The heating element may be positioned such that heat generated by the heating element is directed at the touch screen component. The ATM device may include a temperature sensor configured to detect a temperature of an environment of the ATM device, and may receive temperature measurement data from the temperature sensor, process the temperature measurement data after receiving the temperature measurement data, determine whether the temperature measurement data indicates that a current temperature of the environment satisfies a threshold based on processing the temperature measurement data, and perform an action to control an operating state of the heating element based on determining whether the temperature measurement data indicates that the current temperature of the environment satisfies the threshold.
Pest Repelling Device
Apparatus and associated methods relate to a pest repelling magnetic field generating device (PRD) having a temperature sensor to detect the temperature of a solenoid coil during operation. The detected temperature to be used to ensure that the PRD operates within an ideal temperature range. Additionally, a fan is oriented within a housing of the PRD to force the flow of air from inside a housing of the PRD to outside a housing the PRD. In an illustrative example, the PRD may shut off if the temperature of the solenoid coil moves outside the ideal temperature range. By operating the PRD within an ideal temperature range, the service life of the PRD may be extended. Further, the fan may mitigate dust collection within the housing of the pest repelling magnetic field generating device.
A TEMPERATURE REGULATING SYSTEM
The invention relates to a temperature regulation system for regulating the temperature of a portion of a body, in particular of a user's body.
The system comprises at least one temperature sensor 1004a, 1004b, 1004c adapted to generate a temperature measurement that relates to a temperature of a given portion of a body, at least one temperature adjustment element 1006a, 1006b, 1006c adapted to provide heat and/or cold to a given portion of the body, arranged on or in the flexible support, a memory unit 1016, 1024 adapted to store at least one threshold temperature related value, a controlling unit 1022, 1024, 1032, 1034 in communication with the temperature sensor, with the memory unit 1016, 1024 and with the temperature adjustment element.
The controlling unit is configured to receive the instant temperature of a given portion of the body from the temperature sensor, perform a comparison between at least one instant temperature related value and a triggering temperature related value, activate the temperature adjustment element to provide heat or cold to a given portion of the body depending on the result of said comparison.
The memory unit is further adapted to store at least one user profile information related to a user profile parameter, and the controlling unit is further configured to determine the triggering temperature related value based on said threshold temperature related value, said user profile information and at least one user activity information related to a user instant activity parameter.
AIR DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
The present disclosure relates to a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system including a sensor system configured to detect heat indications within a plurality of areas of a conditioned space, wherein the sensor system comprise a thermal light detector, and a controller configured to receive feedback from the sensor system and, based on the feedback, control airflow distribution, via an airflow distribution system, such that airflow management for each of the plurality of areas is individually correlated to a heat indication detected for the respective area.
System and method for crowd-sourced environmental system control and maintenance
A system and method for crowd-sourced environmental system control and building maintenance includes a server for providing selective access to building occupants and managers. Users are permitted to generate building reports in the form of (i) thermal reports using a thermal report module, and/or (ii) maintenance reports using a maintenance report module. The reports are each geo-located to locations within the building, and are then captured, stored, and aggregated at the server. The aggregated reports are sorted according to their geo-locations and comfort rules are used to (i) permit a manager at a client computer to access the server to respond, and/or (ii) automatically respond and assign a response status to particular reports. An inspection checklist interface is generated and populated to display a list of preventative maintenance tasks, each of the tasks being user-selectable to designate completion, with the updated status of the reports being stored at the server.
Temperature controlled thawing method and apparatus
The present invention relates to a method of thawing and an apparatus for performing the method.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR HOSPITALITY WATER CLEANSING AND MONITORING
An operating assembly for use with a sink or bathtub having at least one fluid-holding basin and a basin drain includes an actuator and a housing. The housing includes a plug structure at, or near, a bottom portion of the housing for selectively blocking the basin drain and a drain valve comprising an inlet adjacent a bottom portion of the housing controlled by the actuator to be in an open position or a closed position. The inlet of the drain valve is provided on a first side of the housing, and the outlet of the drain valve is provided on a second side of the housing opposite the first side and directs fluid into the plug structure. The plug structure mates with the basin drain to prevent fluid in the basin from escaping into the drain other than through the drain valve.
