A controller unit for controlling the speed of a motor for driving an oil injected compressor, the controller unit including: a data connection; and a first module to receive data through the data connection. The controller unit includes a processing unit for determining a minimum working speed of the motor on the basis of the measured working pressure, the ambient temperature and a dew point temperature; and a comparator unit to compare the determined minimum working speed with the retrieved working speed of the motor. The processing unit includes a signal generating unit to send a signal to the motor for increasing the working speed of the motor to at least the determined minimum working speed, if the retrieved working speed is lower than the determined minimum working speed.

A monitoring apparatus for monitoring a raw material tank monitors the temperature of the raw material tank when the temperature of the raw material tank storing a solid or liquid raw material is raised to a set temperature by a heating unit. The monitoring apparatus includes: a temperature determination unit configured to determine whether the temperature has reached a stable range including the set temperature, and determine whether the temperature has deviated from the stable range; and a setting unit configured to set the set temperature of the heating unit to 0° C. when a predetermined timeout time has elapsed from a time point at which the temperature determination unit determined that the temperature deviated from the stable range.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A HEATING ELEMENT OF AN APPLIANCE
A waffle maker having a base and a waffle mold supported by the base. The waffle mold has a first heating plate and a second heating plate, wherein the second heating plate is movable with respect to the first heating plate. A first heating element is arranged on the waffle mold for heating the first and second heating plates. The waffle maker further includes a sensor configured to detect motion in a detection area. A control unit of the waffle maker is in communication with the sensor and the first heating element, such that when the presence of a human is detected in the detection area, the control unit heats the first heating element to a predetermined pre-heat temperature.

Apparatuses, systems, and methods for brewing a desired portion of a beverage, such as a single-cup portion of coffee, are provided. The system can include one or more hopper assemblies configured to provide a controlled dose of beverage material to a brew chamber. The system can also include a water input system configured to wet the ground beverage material as the grinds enter the brew chamber and substantially prevent steam from reaching grinder components of the system. Further, the system can include an automatic cleaning mechanism such that a user does not need to manually clean components of a brewing machine between brew cycles.

A thermostat for a building space can include a processing circuit. The processing circuit can cause building equipment to heat or cool the building space via one or more heating outputs or one or more cooling outputs. The processing circuit can record the length of time that the processing circuit causes the building equipment to heat or cool the building space. The processing circuit can simulate a thermal plant model to determine a simulated runtime, wherein the thermal plant model is a thermal plant model of the building space and the building equipment. The processing circuit can determine a number of hours saved based on the simulated runtime and the recorded length of time.

A heat transfer system is arranged to cook multiple diverse food products. The heat transfer system includes at least one heat source. The at least one heat source is arranged within an enclosure and is operable by a controller to emit heat energy into the enclosure. First and second cooking conveyors are arranged within the enclosure. The first cooking conveyor is configured to move a first food product through the enclosure. The second cooking conveyor is configured to move a second food product through the enclosure. A speed of the first cooking conveyor and a speed of the second cooking conveyor are independently controlled to independently adjust the cooking time of the first food product and the second food product during operation of the heat transfer system.

Just in time operational techniques allow equipment of swimming pools or spas to achieve identified water temperatures at specified times. A user may supply information such as a desired water temperature (i.e. a temperature set point) and a time at which the water is desired to be at the desired temperature. After receiving the user-supplied information, software may account as well for certain environmental conditions to devise a suitable schedule for controlling heating of the water of the swimming pool or spa. Adjustments may be made to the schedule based on then-current water temperatures or other changed conditions.
