Quick-disconnect fastening system
A fastener assembly is provided having a cylindrical shank with a plurality of annular grooves formed along a length of the shank. A plurality of elongated ribs extends perpendicular to the grooves along the length. A fastener disc is provided with a central opening with a diameter less than a cylindrical shank diameter wherein an inner edge of the central opening includes a contact surface. The fastener disc is retained on the fastener portion in a locked position when the contact surface engages one of the plurality of grooves with a friction fit. The fastener disc is rotated to a release position so that the elongated rib contacts the inner edge thereby releasing the contact surface from the grooves.
Wall Holder for Display of Baseball-type Cap
A wall mounted baseball-style cap holder (or cap clip) that supports the cap the apex of its crown proximate a button (if the cap is so equipped) is described. The clip comprises a base plate including a flat rear surface, which may have a layer of pressure sensitive adhesive attached thereto, and upper and lower spaced arcuate plate-like protrusions that extend generally orthogonally from the base plate. The holder is configured to be mounted to a wall or other substantially vertical surface typically by way of an adhesive or double sided tape, which may or may not be provided with the holder.
Spring loaded accessory hub
An accessory hub joins accessories such as towel bars and robe hooks to a wall. In order to attach the accessory to the wall, a collet is fastened to the wall. The accessory hub may be joined to the collet with a spring-loaded button extending from the collet that is inserted into a receiver in the accessory hub. A first cleat portion on the collet mates with a second cleat portion on the accessory hub further securing the accessory hub to the collet. The accessory may then be attached to the accessory hub. The accessory hub may be detached from the collet without damaging the wall by depressing the button into the collet and disengaging the first and second cleat portions.
Article for mounting to a vertical surface
An article for mounting to a vertical surface comprising a substrate having a first layer formed from a flexible film or sheet and a second layer formed with a conventional low-tack non-reactive reusable adhesive effective for attaching the substrate to drywall or plaster or wood surfaces. At least one rigid component is attached to the substrate. The second layer covers at least a portion of the first layer for attaching to a vertical surface and includes a release area, wherein the release area is positioned such that it is vertically above the at least one rigid component. The rigid component operates to produce a cantilever moment and wherein the release area operates to counteract the cantilever moment.
Universal support hook
A universal support hook includes an elongated pin having a plurality of juxtaposed hangers rotatably mounted thereon. Each hanger includes a C-shaped gripping member with a hinge barrel at an upper end thereof. The hinge barrel includes a central, transverse bore that receives the pin to allow the hanger to freely rotate within a 360-degree range. When any desired number of hangers are raised to a vertical position, their C-shaped gripping members can be secured to a tubular or thin support structure, such as a passenger-seat tray, a closet rod, a chair frame or a shopping-cart handle. The remaining hangers freely hang from the pin to provide a hook for suspending handbags, jewelry items, garments and other similar personal items from the support structure.
Fruit Hanger
Described is a fruit hanger with a hook for suspending a bunch of fruit or vegetables, such as bananas, above a surface to protect the produce from bruising and premature over-ripening. Versions of the fruit hanger also include a clip, for attaching to the stem of a single banana, or other piece of fruit or vegetable, after the remainder of the bunch has been consumed. Some versions of the fruit hanger may rest on a kitchen countertop, and other versions of the fruit hanger may be suspended beneath a kitchen cabinet or pantry shelf.
PORTABLE LOCK FOR TOILET STALLS
A device when installed between the physical gap between toilet partition panels provides a hook to hang personal items while the toilet is in use. The device also can be used to secure the toilet partition door to the toilet partition wall, preventing the door from being opened from the outside.
UNIVERSAL BACK OF CHAIR HANGER
A chair hanger system includes a front plate, a back plate opposing the front plate, and a plate separator defining a gap between the front plate and the back plate. A first and second hook are attached to the back plate, the first hook defining a first opening geometry and the second hook defining a second opening geometry. A spacer block is configured to connect to the back plate
SYSTEM FOR CHARGING BATTERIES USED IN CLOTHING
A system for charging batteries of clothing is provided. The system may include a body made of an electric insulation material. The body can be configured to receive a hanging loop of the clothing. The system may include first electrical contacts disposed on the body, and a wire at least partially disposed within the body. The wire may be configured to provide an electric current to the first electrical contacts. The system may include second electrical contacts disposed in the hanging loop of the clothing. The second electrical contacts may be configured to electrically connect to the battery of the clothing. The first electrical contacts may be configured to touch the second electrical contacts when the hanging loop is hung on the body.
WALL-MOUNT ASSEMBLY
A wall-mount assembly is provided with an elongate rail with at least one receptacle formed into the rail. At least one fastener includes an expandable base, and a flange extending from a proximal end of the expandable base, wherein the flange is sized to pass through the at least one receptacle, and the at least one fastener cooperates with the rail to retain the flange within the at least one receptacle. A method for installing hardware to a wall installs fasteners to a rail. The rail is aligned to the wall. The rail is pressed to the wall such that the fasteners are inserted into the wall. The fasteners are expanded to install the rail and fasteners to the wall.
