Vehicle interior control system having knobs with plurality of display representations
System for controlling the interior of a vehicle including a center button for selecting a mode, an inner knob for selecting a function, and an outer knob for adjusting that function. The system may include an outer display for graphically displaying different options for adjusting the selected function. The system may also include a processor which may generate instructions to effectuate the function adjustment upon the user actuating the knobs and/or the center button. A display on the center button may display modes, and an inner display located behind the inner knob may display functions.

When a rotation start position of a rotation shaft 132 is a middle start position 31a (i.e., when rotation of the rotation shaft 132 is stopped in the middle and the rotation is restarted), target rotational speed (relative target rotational speed) is defined using a relative pattern 31 that uses the middle start position 31a as a reference, without using an absolute pattern 33 that is defined using a normal rotation start position 33a as a reference. Upon detecting that a condition that absolute target rotational speed corresponding to an angular position detected by a rotation sensor 134 is greater than the relative target rotational speed is not satisfied, motor control is switched so that the absolute pattern 33 is used.
Rotary knob assembly capable of up-and-down motion
A rotary knob assembly capable of up-and-down motion is provided. The rotary knob assembly includes a lower case with an oil damper; a rotary sleeve rotatably disposed in the lower case with a connecting hole; a slide cam that moves linearly with respect to the lower case with a pair of cam grooves and a sleeve hole; an elastic member disposed between the slide cam and the lower case; an up-and-down moving sleeve that moves up and down with respect to the rotary sleeve with a pair of up-and-down cams inserted in the pair of cam grooves of the slide cam; a rotary knob that is rotatably connected to the up-and-down moving sleeve; and an upper case connected to the lower case to limit vertical movement of the rotary knob, wherein a moving speed of the slide cam is controlled by the oil damper.
