PEDAL PAD ASSEMBLIES WITH LINEAR POSITIONING SENSING
Embodiments herein are directed to a pedal pad assembly that includes a housing, a pedal pad, at least one link member, at least one sliding member, and a sensor. The pedal pad is coupled to the housing and configured to translate the housing along a first movement axis in response to a load applied to the pedal pad. A proximal end of the at least one link member is coupled to an outer surface of the housing. The at least one sliding member is coupled to a distal end of the at least one link member. The sensor is configured to sense a position of the at least one sliding member along a second movement axis. During a translation of the housing along the first movement axis, the proximal end of the at least one link member moves translating the at least one sliding member about the second movement axis.
FOLDABLE PEDAL APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE
A foldable pedal apparatus of a vehicle may have a configuration in which an accelerator pedal assembly and a brake pedal assembly are rotated in a rearward direction from a vehicle body panel and are popped-up to be exposed toward a driver to allow the pedal assemblies to be capable of being controlled when in a situation of manual driving mode, and in which the pedal assemblies are rotated in a frontward direction and are inserted in respective panel grooves of the vehicle body panel so that the pedal assemblies are in a hidden state where exposure thereof toward the driver is blocked to allow the pedal assemblies to be unable to be controlled in a situation of autonomous driving mode where the driver does not directly drive.
VEHICLE HAVING MULTIPLE DRIVING POSITIONS
Vehicles, steering systems, and steering assemblies of a vehicle are provided in the present disclosure. According to one embodiment, a steering system includes a track oriented substantially in a side-to-side direction with respect to the vehicle. The side-to-side direction may be substantially horizontal with a ground surface and substantially perpendicular with a forward-facing direction of the vehicle. The steering system also includes a steering wheel adapted to slide laterally along the track. In another embodiments, the present disclosure provides a vehicle comprising a steering wheel assembly adapted to be positioned in laterally variable locations with respect to the vehicle, whereby the steering wheel assembly is further adapted to enable a driver to manually operate the vehicle from a left-hand side of the vehicle and from a right-hand side of the vehicle.

Foldable brake pedal apparatus for autonomous vehicles
A foldable brake pedal apparatus for autonomous vehicles provides a manual driving mode and an autonomous driving mode. In the manual driving mode, a driver directly drives a vehicle, a pedal pad protrudes from a pedal housing and pops up to be exposed to the driver side such that the driver can manipulate the pedal pad. And in the autonomous driving mode, the driver does not directly drive the vehicle, the pedal pad is inserted into the pedal housing and is in a hidden state in which exposure of the pedal pad toward the drive side is inhibited such that the driver cannot manipulate the pedal pad.

Foot controller with adjustable treadle
The disclosed embodiments of the present technology relate to a foot controller with an adjustable treadle assembly including an adjustable treadle surface member slidably coupled to a fixed treadle plate and a latch assembly to adjust the adjustable treadle surface member to fixed positions relative to the treadle plate.
Pedal with sliding and locking mechanisms for surgical robots
A foot pedal system for controlling a surgical robotic system, the foot pedal system comprising a foot pedal assembly movably coupled to a foot pedal assembly platform. The foot pedal assembly having a foot pedal base, a foot pedal pivotally coupled to the foot pedal base, and a foot pedal platform, the foot pedal base operable to slide across the foot pedal platform along an x-axis and a y-axis to an arrangement of activation positions. The foot pedal platform operable to translate and rotate with respect to the foot pedal assembly platform to any position along the foot pedal assembly platform, and the foot pedal platform is operable to engage or disengage with the foot pedal assembly platform at the any position along the foot pedal assembly platform.
Pedal unit for a motor vehicle
A pedal unit for a motor vehicle may include a multiplicity of cylinder elements which are guided one inside the other in a telescopic fashion along a movement axis, a pedal face for a user, one or more spring elements, and a sensor unit. The pedal face may be coupled to one of the cylinder elements. Each of the spring elements is configured to interact with two cylinder elements assigned thereto, as a result of which, when the pedal face is activated an opposing force can be generated at the pedal face, the opposing force depending progressively on movement travel of the pedal face. The sensor unit may be configured to generate an output signal that is dependent on activation of the pedal face.
