Pedal assembly having force sensing
Embodiments herein are directed to a pedal assembly. The pedal assembly includes a housing, a pedal arm, at least one elongated member, and at least one strain gauge sensor. The pedal arm has a pedal pad on one end. The at least one elongated member is positioned within a cavity and configured to deflect upon a movement by the pedal arm caused from a load applied to the pedal pad. The at least one strain gauge sensor is positioned in communication with the at least one elongated member and configured to sense an amount of the deflection of the at least one elongated member. When the load is applied to the pedal pad, the pedal arm moves and deflects the at least one elongated member, which is sensed by the respective at least one strain gauge sensor indicative of an amount of load applied to the pedal pad.
Electronic pedal apparatus
An embodiment electronic pedal apparatus includes a pedal housing and an accelerator pedal assembly and a brake pedal assembly coupled to the pedal housing and configured to move along different movement trajectories when the accelerator pedal assembly and the brake pedal assembly are operated. In an embodiment, the accelerator pedal assembly is compressed and moved upward when the accelerator pedal assembly is operated, and the brake pedal assembly is compressed and moved downward when the brake pedal assembly is operated.

Pedal Assembly For A Vehicle
An automotive vehicle includes a body having a passenger compartment and a movable pedal housing which is movable between first and second positions with respect to the passenger compartment. The vehicle additionally includes at least one pedal which is operably coupled to the housing and actuatable by an occupant. The vehicle also includes an actuator operably coupled to the pedal and to the housing. The actuator is configured to apply a resistive force to the pedal to resist motion of the pedal. The actuator is configured to selectively move the housing between the first and second positions. The vehicle further includes at least one controller configured to, in response to satisfaction of a first operating condition, control the actuator to move the pedal housing to the first position, and, in response to satisfaction of a second operating condition, control the actuator to move the pedal housing to the second position.
VEHICLE OPERATING APPARATUS, VEHICLE SYSTEM AND VEHICLE BRAKING SYSTEM
A vehicle operating apparatus including a stressed means configured to receive a force applied thereon by a driver for operating a vehicle; a connecting means configured such that a first end is mechanically connected to the stressed means and a second end is mechanically connected to a mounting surface of the vehicle; a sensor configured to sense information associated with the force applied by the driver and convert the information into an electrical signal, the vehicle is able to perform driving-related operations in response to the signal; and an actuating means configured to actuate the connecting means according to a current driving state of the vehicle so that the stressed means is maintained at a specific position.
PEDAL DEVICE
The pedal device includes a pedal portion which the operator depresses, a pedal effort detecting portion being configured to detect the magnitude of the pedal effort in the depression direction when the operator depresses the pedal portion and being configured to output a signal corresponding to the magnitude of the pedal effort to the outside.

Device for detecting a driver demand
A device for detecting a driver demand, the device outputting a purely electronic actuating signal, includes an actuating surface, for a foot of a user, the actuating surface being displaceable in an actuation direction in order to generate the actuating signal. At least two compression bodies arranged one behind the other in the actuation direction are provided, each of which has one elastic element and one rigid element, which are arranged one behind the other in the actuation direction in such a way that one rigid element acts on one elastic element when the actuating surface is acted upon by an actuation force. In addition, a sensor system is provided, the signal of which permits an inference to be made regarding the displacement of the actuating surface and is usable for generating the actuating signal.

Electronic pedal apparatus
An electronic pedal apparatus includes a brake pedal module and an accelerator pedal module vertically coupled in a stacked manner to form a single one-pedal, which makes it possible to improve utilization of an internal space by implementing a compact size and prevent an erroneous operation and further improve safety at the time of operating pedals by making an operation direction of a brake pedal different from an operation direction of an accelerator pedal.
