VEHICLE PEDAL CONFIGURATIONS AND SYSTEMS
Systems and device configurations are provided for reducing misstep, such as miscommunication between a vehicle and a driver that results in applying the incorrect pedal. Vehicle pedal configurations having a positioning element are described. Embodiments include pedal configurations having a pedal pad and at least one positioning element to adjust the pedal pad in response to pedal misstep. Pedal adjustment can include rotation of a pedal pad, rotation of portions of a pedal pad, and multibody pedal pad configurations. According to embodiment, a pedal pad includes vibrational elements to control vibration of the pedal. Embodiments are also directed to a pedal configuration including a flip plate. Systems are provided including a controller to control a pedal configuration and positioning elements. The controller may control the pedal based on a driving mode, such as an assistive driving state wherein operator is instructed to apply a pedal.

Keyboard sustain pedal stabilizer
A keyboard sustain pedal stabilizer is for use with a keyboard sustain foot pedal. The keyboard sustain pedal stabilizer comprises a stabilizer base, and a pedal-retention area in cooperative engagement with the stabilizer base. The pedal-retention area includes a retaining structure, the retaining structure enabling secure retention of the keyboard sustain foot pedal within the pedal-retention area. The retention structure may be an end-wall in combination with a pair of opposing sidewalls, a recess in combination with a pair of opposing sidewalls, or a recess in combination with an end-wall. The keyboard sustain pedal stabilizer may also include an expanded position and a retracted position, the expanded position being for cooperative engagement with the keyboard sustain pedal, the retracted position being for transporting the keyboard sustain pedal stabilizer. The under surface of the stabilizer has non-slipping properties.

Force-feedback brake pedal system
A force-feedback brake pedal system for cooperative braking of an electric or hybrid vehicle having jointly a regenerative braking system and a frictional braking system includes a brake pedal which is pivotally mounted around a shaft or a bearing, an electronic circuitry which is in electrical communication with the regenerative braking system and the frictional braking system of the vehicle, an actuator for providing force feedback in accordance with the regenerative breaking and friction breaking of the vehicle, the actuator is in mechanical communication with the brake pedal. The force-feedback brake pedal system further includes a compliant element arranged between the brake pedal and the actuator, and a position sensor which, during operation, measuring the deflections of the compliant element and transmitting data to the electronic circuitry.
PNEUMATIC BRAKE PEDAL MODULE
A pneumatic brake pedal module for a “brake-by-wire” brake system of a vehicle is disclosed. The brake pedal module has a pivotably mounted brake pedal and having a damping unit, which is mechanically coupled to the brake pedal to generate a resistance when the brake pedal is actuated, such that the damping unit is subjected to tension when the brake pedal is actuated.
PNEUMATIC BRAKE PEDAL MODULE
A pneumatic brake pedal module for a brake-by-wire brake system of a vehicle is disclosed. The brake pedal module includes a pivotably mounted brake pedal and a damping unit. The damping unit is mechanically coupled to the brake pedal to generate a resistance when the brake pedal is actuated. The damping unit comprises a housing and a piston, which is mounted movably in the housing and divides an internal space of the housing into a pressure chamber and a vacuum chamber. The pressure chamber and the vacuum chamber are connected to one another in terms of flow. The piston has on its running surface an encircling annular space in which a ring seal is accommodated in an axially movable manner. The ring seal is located at least in a flow path between the pressure chamber and the vacuum chamber and forms a restrictor in the at least one flow path, which restrictor frees different flow cross sections in the at least one flow path depending on the axial direction of movement, and damps the movement of the piston with differing degrees of strength depending on a direction of movement of the piston.
