Molecular scrivener for reading or writing data to a macromolecule
A molecular scrivener reads data from or writes data to a macromolecule and includes: a pair of shielding electrodes; a scrivener electrode between the first and second shielding electrodes and that electrically floats at a third potential that, in an absence of a charged or dipolar moiety of the macromolecule, is intermediate between the first and second potentials and changes in a presence of the charged or dipolar moiety; a dielectric layer interposed between shielding electrodes and the scrivener electrode; and a nanopore that communicates the macromolecule through the electrodes and dielectric layers. Reading data from or writing data to a macromolecule includes: sequentially receiving, at the scrivener electrode, individual moieties of the macromolecule so that the third potential responds to individual moieties; communicating the macromolecule from the scrivener electrode to the second shielding electrode and from second shielding electrode to expel the macromolecule from the nanopore.
Computing chassis including removeable midplanes
A computing chassis, including: a first storage processor assembly; a second storage processor assembly; a first midplane, wherein the first storage processor assembly and the second storage processor assembly are coupled concurrently to the first midplane; and a second midplane, wherein the first storage processor assembly and the second storage processor assembly are coupled concurrently to the second midplane, wherein communication between the first storage processor assembly and the second storage processor assembly is through the first midplane and the second midplane independently.
Vehicle diagnostic interface device
A vehicle interface device for diagnosing, scanning and programming an electrical system of a vehicle having a housing and being connectable to an electrical system of a vehicle, a local diagnostic computer, and a remote diagnostic computer. The vehicle interface device is selectively switchable for operation in either a local mode or a remote mode. In the local mode, the vehicle interface device is connected with the local diagnostic computer and operates as a pass-thru device. In the remote mode, the vehicle interface device is connected with the remote diagnostic computer.
IMAGE DISPLAY APPARATUS
Provided is an image display apparatus that makes it possible to provide appropriate interaction with a user. The image display apparatus includes: a display displaying a three-dimensional image in such a manner that the three-dimensional object looks as if being in a space defined by a member constituting an external surface and that the three-dimensional object is visible from multiple directions around the display; a motion detector detecting the motion of the display itself caused by an external force; a motion calculation unit calculating the motion of the three-dimensional object caused by the motion of the display itself on the basis of the motion detected by the motion detector on the assumption that the three-dimensional object is actually present in the space; a display control unit changing the three-dimensional image displayed on the display on the basis of the result of calculation by the motion calculation unit; a force sense presentation unit presenting the sense of force to the user of an own apparatus; and a force sense control unit causing the force sense presentation unit to present the sense of force on the basis of the result of calculation by the motion calculation unit.

A consumer electronic product includes at least a transparent housing and a flexible display assembly enclosed within the transparent housing. In the described embodiment, the flexible display assembly is configured to present visual content at any portion of the transparent housing.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE MOUNTING SCREW ASSEMBLIES
An example electronic device is disclosed that includes a housing including a first external cover and a second external cover opposite the first external cover. In addition, the electronic device includes an electronic component disposed within the housing, between an inner surface of the first external cover and an inner surface of the second external cover. The electronic component is mounted to the first external cover with a mounting screw assembly, and the mounting screw assembly is engaged with the inner surface of the second external cover.
Protective cover for a laptop computer
A protective cover for a laptop computer having a screen portion has a main body that extends to an outer perimeter, the outer perimeter including a downwardly extending wall which extends downwardly from the outer perimeter. The cover further has a plurality of tabs extending inwardly from the downwardly extending wall of the top cover, adjacent the outer perimeter, adapted for attaching the top cover to the screen portion of the laptop computer. The main body, the plurality of tabs, and the downwardly extending wall are all of integral construction, and further have a perimeter covering that covers at least a portion of the main body and the downwardly extending wall, the perimeter covering being formed of a resilient material.
Electronic device with sensors and display devices
An electronic device may have a housing. The housing may be characterized by a vertical axis and may have housing structures such as cylindrical housing structures with a cylindrical surface. A speaker may be mounted in the housing to provide sound through openings in the housing structures. A visual output device may be mounted in the housing to provide light through openings in the housing structures. The visual output device may include an electrophoretic display, a light-emitting diode display, or other display with an array of pixels that display images or may include other components for emitting light. During operation, voice commands may be received by a microphone in the device and action taken based on the commands and other information. The action taken may include playing sound with the speaker and providing visual output with the visual output device.
Display apparatus
Improvement of quality and improvement of a design property is achieved. A display (2) that displays an image on a display surface (2a), a back chassis (3) disposed on a side, of the display (2), opposite to the display surface (2a), a sealing body (5) disposed between the display (2) and the back chassis (3), and an outer frame (6) that is provided as a resin portion (13) at least partly including a resin material, and covers the display (2) and the back chassis (3) from an outer periphery side are included. An inner peripheral surface of the resin portion (13) is brought into close contact with an outer peripheral surface of the display (2) and an outer peripheral surface of the back chassis (3).

In one or more embodiments, one or more systems, one or more methods, and/or one or more processes may determine a temperature value within a chassis of an information handling system (IHS); may determine an ambient temperature value outside the chassis based at least on the temperature value within the chassis; may provide the ambient temperature value outside the chassis to a process executing on the IHS; may determine a threshold temperature value associated with at least one processor of the IHS based at least on the ambient temperature value outside the chassis and based at least on a target skin temperature value of the IHS; and may configure the at least one processor based at least on the threshold temperature value associated with the at least one processor.
