Protective case for a computing device and method of use
A method of protecting a computing device is provided including detachably connecting a leading edge of a base portion of the computing device to one or more device receiving members of a first portion of a case. The trailing edge of the base portion is secured to the first portion of the case. The first portion of the case may substantially envelope the base portion of the computing device and a plurality of perimetral fastening members may be detachably connected to a second portion of the case. The perimetral fastening members may detachably connect to perimetral edges of a screen portion of the computing device. A protective shell may be formed around the computing device by pivoting adjoining edges of the first and second portions of the case about a linking pliable member in communication with the trailing edge of the computing device.
Display device
A display device includes: a display module; a first support part and a second support part disposed below the display module, the first and second support parts being arranged in a first direction; a hinge disposed between the first and second support parts below the display module to define biaxial rotation axes extending in a second direction intersecting the first direction; and a plurality of rotation parts coupled to the hinge to rotate about the biaxial rotation axes, the plurality of rotation parts being connected to the first and second support parts, respectively. Each of the rotation parts includes first and second parts that move relative to each other via a lost motion connection upon rotation of the rotation parts.
Computing device supporting structure
A support prong system for a laptop device or other device includes one or more support prongs that are attachable to an underside of the device. Each support prong has a proximal prong portion for attachment nearest the device, and a most distal portion for contact with a device supporting surface. The support prongs may include one or more intermediate prong portions between the proximal prong portion and most distal portion. The system includes an attachable mount typically attached to the underside of the device and residing between the proximal prong portion and the device. The attachable mount has an active coupler member that couples and decouples with the proximal prong portion. Height and angle adjustment for the laptop or other device may be obtained by adjusting the one or more support prongs.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An electronic device is provided, including a main body and a camera module. The camera module has a frame, a lens unit disposed in the frame, a guiding member, and a hinge. The guiding member is affixed to the main body and has a rail and a spring sheet. The hinge pivotally connects to the frame and the guiding member. When the camera module is in the retracted position, the camera module is hidden in a recess of the main body. When the camera module slides out of the recess from the retracted position along the rail into the operational position, the spring sheet is pressed by the hinge to increase the friction between the hinge and the guiding member.
Integrating haptic actuators into mobile computing device accessories
Techniques, apparatuses, and systems are described for integrating haptic actuators into accessories for mobile computing device. Current accessory devices and their associated housings lack the necessary space to implement multiple haptic actuators for conveying complex haptic information. The accessory device attached to the mobile computing device provides additional space for integrating haptic actuators, which provide complex haptic information to a user of the mobile computing device. Using the haptic device accessory, the mobile computing device can convey haptic information to a user of the accessory device. In this way, a haptic device accessory can improve the otherwise limited haptic experience for a user of the accessory device.
FLEXIBLE INTERCONNECT
Examples are provided for a flexible circuit element including a flexible insulating support structure, a solid metal trace extending at least partially between a first connector and a second connector on the flexible insulating support structure, and a liquid metal conductor disposed in contact with the solid metal trace in a region of the trace configured to repeatedly flex when installed in a device.
DISPLAY APPARATUS
Disclosed herein are a display apparatus capable of accomplishing common use of instrument and being repaired by installing a touch panel driving board on the outer side of the display apparatus. A display apparatus comprising a display module comprising a display panel configured to display an image, a panel disposed in front of the display module, a first cover disposed behind the display module, and a panel driving board configured to drive the panel, and disposed to be exposed outside of the first cover.
Generating a three-dimensional model using a portable electronic device recording
Systems and methods are provided for navigating a three-dimensional model using deterministic movement of an electronic device. An electronic device can load and provide an initial display of a three dimensional model (e.g., of an environment or of an object). As the user moves the electronic device, motion sensing components can detect the device movement and adjust the displayed portion of the three-dimensional model to reflect the movement of the device. By walking with the device in the user's real environment, a user can virtually navigate a representation of a three-dimensional environment. In some embodiments, a user can record an object or environment using an electronic device, and tag the recorded images or video with movement information describing the movement of the device during the recording. The recorded information can then be processed with the movement information to generate a three-dimensional model of the recorded environment or object.
Mobile computing/communicating attachment device
An attachment system is disclosed which employs a main set of attachment elements attached to a case for a mobile computing/communication device, such as a mobile phone, computing tablet or other computing device which can be carried with the user. The attachment system may also be part of the mobile computing/communication device. These attachment elements are designed to attach to attachment elements connected to, or built into another mobile computing/communication device. This allows a user to keep track of a first phone while using a second phone. In alternative embodiments, the phone may be connected back to back to allow simultaneous use of both phones, front to back to protect the screen of one while using the other, or front to front to protect both screens when neither is being used. Also, it may be embodied as a docking structure which is fixed to a wall or other structure. The mobile computing/communication device removably attaches to the docking structure to hold the phone for use and/or storage.
Electronic device with auxiliary lighting function and operation method thereof
An electronic device with an auxiliary lighting function and an operation method thereof are provided. The electronic device includes a first body, a display screen, and a light-emitting module. The first body has a first surface. The first surface includes a screen area and a border area. The border area surrounds the screen area. The display screen is disposed in the screen area of the first body. The light-emitting module is disposed in the border area of the first body. The light-emitting module provides an illumination light in at least one first area of the border area, and provides an indicating light in at least one second area of the border area.
