20230232564 · 2023-07-20 ·

A multi-node server includes a plurality of nodes and a hard disk backplane. Each node includes a power supply module. The power supply module is built in the node. The hard disk backplane is connected to the plurality of nodes through a first connector. The power supply module of each node is connected to a power supply interface of another node through a second connector, where the first connector and the second connector are spaced apart, and air flowing from an air inlet of the multi-node server circulates through a spacing between the first connector and the second connector. A system backplane for connection is not arranged in the multi-node server, but is replaced with the first connector and the second connector with a relatively small volume.

A computing chassis, including hard disk drives positioned at a first end of the chassis; a fan module positioned at a second end of the chassis; a first baffle having acoustic absorbing material, the first baffle extending between a first and a second side of the chassis, wherein the first and second sides of the chassis extend between the first and the second ends of the chassis, the first baffle spaced-apart from the fan module a first distance; a second baffle having acoustic absorbing material, the second baffle extending between the first and the second side of the chassis, the second baffle spaced-apart from the fan module a second distance greater than the first distance, wherein the first and the second baffle extend between the first and second sides of the chassis perpendicular to an airflow, and the acoustic absorbing material of the baffles attenuate acoustic waves.

Isolation tortuous path seal enclosure
11706907 · 2023-07-18 · ·

A modular system of plastic walls having embedded and coextensive electrically conductive components configured to electrically connect with each other when the walls are mated. The walls have joining edges that form joint seams with other walls when joined together to create an enclosure. When enough walls are used to surround a storage space, a Faraday cage is created. The walls additionally have portions of tortuous paths at each joining edge that mate with a complementary portion of a tortuous path of another wall when the walls are joined together. A torturous path seal is thereby created at each joint seam. The plastic walls can be configured in a multiplicity of combinations to create various enclosures necessary for RFID-enabled storage and tracking of medical articles. Containers, enclosures, cabinets, and drawers of differing heights and sizes can be made and they may be stacked or otherwise assembled.

A system including a power bus configured to supply power to a plurality of server racks arranged within a space of a building, a first power source connection positioned at a first side of the building and configured to supply power from a first power source to the power bus, a second power source positioned at a second side of the building different from the first side and configured to supply power from a second power source to the power bus, and a plurality of diverter switches arranged within the power bus. Each diverter switch may be configured to receive a respective control signal and, responsive to the respective control signal, redirect power within the power bus.

HEATER APPARATUS-INTEGRATED PERIPHERAL COMPONENT INTERCONNECT CARD FOR A COMPUTING DEVICE

A computing device includes a peripheral component interconnect (PCI) card and a heater apparatus. The heater apparatus is located proximate to the PCI card and configured to heat the PCI card.

Slot airflow based on a configuration of the chassis

An information handling system includes a chassis having multiples sleds and an embedded controller. The embedded controller retrieves relative impedances for all of the sleds, and calculates a maximum available airflow for the first sled based the relative impedances of all other sleds. A baseboard management controller (BMC) of a first sled requests a boot operation for the first sled. The BMC collects configuration information for the first sled, and determines an airflow impedance of the first sled based on the configuration information. The BMC provides the airflow impedance and a power allocation request to the embedded controller. The BMC compares the maximum available airflow to a minimum airflow requirement for the first sled. If the maximum available airflow is less than the minimum airflow requirement, the BMC implements power limits for processors in the first sled to prevent overheating of components within the first sled.

Expansion card installation module and server

Provided is an expansion card installation module including an expansion-card bracket, an operating element, a stopper, and a driving component. The operating element is pivoted on the expansion-card bracket. The stopper is slidably disposed on the expansion-card bracket and is located at a stop position or a non-stop position. The stopper at the stop position is adapted to stop an expansion card in the expansion-card bracket, and the stopper at the non-stop position releases the expansion card, such that the expansion card is allowed to be removed from the expansion-card bracket. The driving component is movably disposed on the expansion-card bracket. The operating element is adapted to push against the stopper to move the stopper from the stop position to the non-stop position, and the driving component is adapted to position the stopper at the non-stop position. A server is also provided.
