Exercised-based watch face and complications

Exercise-based watch faces and complications for use with a portable multifunction device are disclosed. The methods described herein for exercise-based watch faces and complications provide indications of time and affordances representing applications (e.g., a workout application or a weather application). In response to detecting a user input corresponding to a selection of the affordance (e.g., representing a workout application), a workout routine can optionally be begun. Further disclosed are non-transitory computer-readable storage media, systems, and devices configured to perform the methods described herein, as well as electronic devices related thereto.

System for authorizing rendering of objects in three-dimensional spaces
11580243 · 2023-02-14 ·

Systems and methods for authorizing rendering of objects in three-dimensional spaces are described. The system may include a first system defining a virtual three-dimensional space including the placement of a plurality of objects in the three-dimensional space, and a second system including a plurality of rules associated with portions of the three-dimensional space and a device coupled to the first system and the second system. The device may receive a request to render a volume of three-dimensional space, retrieve objects for the volume of three-dimensional, retrieve rules associated with the three-dimensional, and apply the rules for the three-dimensional space to the objects.

Staple instrument comprising a firing path display

A surgical stapling system for stapling the tissue of a patient is disclosed. The stapling system comprises a housing, a shaft extending from the housing, and an end effector extending from the shaft. The end effector comprises a plurality of staples removably stored therein and, also, an anvil configured to deform the staples. The stapling system further comprises a firing mechanism configured to deploy the staples along a staple firing path longer than 60 mm, a camera configured to capture an image of the patient tissue, a display, and a controller configured to generate an image of the staple firing path, wherein the images are displayed on the display.

A human-computer interface system having an exoskeleton including a plurality of structural members coupled to one another by at least one articulation configured to apply a force to a body segment of a user, the exoskeleton comprising a body-borne portion and a point-of-use portion; the body-borne portion configured to be operatively coupled to the point-of-use portion; and at least one locomotor module including at least one actuator configured to actuate the at least one articulation, the at least one actuator being in operative communication with the exoskeleton.

Radio frequency sensing in a television environment

Techniques are provided for performing radio frequency (RF) sensing to determine the viewing status of a television user. This can be used to determine user behavior during the playback of content (e.g., whether a user is watching the content), which can be used as a data point for determining the user's level of interest in the content. Using the status of the television user, embodiments can provide additional or alternative functionality, such as powering down and/or powering up the television. Furthermore, RF sensing may be performed by existing television hardware, such a Wi-Fi transceiver, and may therefore provide RF sensing functionality to a television with little or no added cost.

Augmented reality placement for user feedback

Methods and systems are provided for generating augmented reality (AR) scenes where the AR scenes include one or more artificial intelligence elements (AIEs) that are rendered as visual objects in the AR scenes. The method includes generating an AR scene for rendering on a display; the AR scene includes a real-world space and virtual objects projected in the real-world space. The method includes analyzing a field of view into the AR scene; the analyzing is configured to detect an action by a hand of the user when reaching into the AR scene. The method includes generating one or more AIEs rendered as virtual objects in the AR scene, each AIE is configured to provide a dynamic interface that is selectable by a gesture of the hand of the user. In one embodiment, each of the AIEs is rendered proximate to a real-world object present in the real-world space; the real-world object is located in a direction of where the hand of the user is detected to be reaching when the user makes the action by the hand.

Motorized rotatable treadmill and system for creating the illusion of movement
11577177 · 2023-02-14 · ·

A motorized, rotatable treadmill and a system for creating the illusion of user movement while the user is stationary with respect to an environment as the user walks or otherwise moves on an endless track of the treadmill. The user can then travel an unlimited distance in unlimited directions while remaining stationary in physical location. The speed of the treadmill is precisely controlled and/or precisely matched with movement of a camera and a real-world speed of movement of the user and the distance the user travels on the belt to create the illusion of movement of the person being filmed. When the treadmill is provided within an LED virtual film set or green screen set, background imagery is added to further supplement the movement in a selected environment.

Systems and methods for providing augmented reality-like interface for the management and maintenance of building systems

The present invention relates to systems and methods for improved building systems management and maintenance. The present invention provides a system for providing an augmented reality-like interface for the management and maintenance of building systems, specifically the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems within a building, including the heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems.
