COMPUTERIZED METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETERMINING ACCURACY OF WRITTEN CHARACTERS AND STROKE ORDER AND COMPLIANCE WITH RULES AND PROVIDING VISUAL AND AUDIO FEEDBACK
A computerized method and apparatus are disclosed for determining the accuracy of written characters input by a user and whether the characters were formed with the correct strokes and complied with applicable rules and providing visual and audio feedback to the user. A computing device comprises a character comparison engine, rules engine, stroke engine, art rendering engine music engine, and vocalization engine and has access to a character library, rules library, stroke library, art library, and audio library. The computing device shows the user the appropriate way to write a character, allows the user to then write the character, assesses the quality of the character, and provides audio and/or visual feedback to the user in response to the quality of the user's work to provide positive feedback. The visual feedback can include step-by-step instruction on how to paint using the traditional Chinese outline or no-outline painting techniques.
DATA INPUT DEVICE, AND DATA INPUT METHOD THAT ARE CONFIGURED TO SWITCH DISPLAY OF CHARACTER INPUT BUTTONS IN RESPONSE TO INPUT OPERATIONS IN TWO DIRECTIONS
The present invention provides a novel character input system. The data input device 10 includes a display unit 11, a first detection unit 12, an input unit 13, and a second detection unit 14. The display unit 11 displays input buttons 1511 arranged in a plurality of rows and columns in a button display section 151. The first detection unit 12 detects a selection from the input buttons 1511 by the user. The input unit 13 performs data input according to the selected input button 1511. The second detection unit 14 detects an input operation in a first direction to the detection section 153 by the user and an input operation in a second direction that is different from the first direction to the detection section 153 by the user. The display unit 11 performs switching to a different one of partial arrays in the same array group by switching the display of the input buttons 1511 in the button display section 151 in response to an input operation in the first direction. The display unit 11 performs switching to one of array groups in a different category or to a different one of the array groups in the same category, by switching the display of the input buttons 1511 in the button display section 151 in response to an input operation in the second direction.
INPUT APPARATUS, INPUT METHOD, PROGRAM, AND INPUT SYSTEM
An input apparatus includes a handwriting input unit configured to receive a handwritten input using a position of a pen or a user's finger in contact with a display; and a display unit configured to display the handwritten input received by the handwriting input unit on the display as a handwritten object. The input apparatus is configured to, in response to no occurrence of a change in the handwritten object during a first period, display one or more operation commands on the basis of the handwritten object.
Managing real-time handwriting recognition
Methods, systems, and computer-readable media related to a technique for providing handwriting input functionality on a user device. A handwriting recognition module is trained to have a repertoire comprising multiple non-overlapping scripts and capable of recognizing tens of thousands of characters using a single handwriting recognition model. The handwriting input module provides real-time, stroke-order and stroke-direction independent handwriting recognition for multi-character handwriting input. In particular, real-time, stroke-order and stroke-direction independent handwriting recognition is provided for multi-character, or sentence level Chinese handwriting recognition. User interfaces for providing the handwriting input functionality are also disclosed.
Display system that switches into an operation acceptable mode according to movement detected
A display system includes a head-mounted display device and an input device for operating the head-mounted display device, being mounted on an arm or a leg of a user and having a movement detection unit that include a sensor which detects a movement of the arm or the leg. When the movement detection unit detects a predetermined movement, the input device operates the head-mounted display system to switch into an operation acceptance mode.
TACTILE SENSATION PRESENTATION DEVICE AND TACTILE SENSATION PRESENTATION METHOD
A tactile sensation presentation device includes a display unit that displays plural images on a display screen, an operating portion including an operation surface on which a touch operation is performed to select one of the plural images displayed on the display unit, a vibration presentation unit that presents tactile sensation by vibrating the operation surface according to the touch operation, and a control unit that extracts at least one candidate image, which has a probability of being selected next after a selected image selected on the operation surface, from the plural images displayed on the display screen, predicts a next selected image to be selected next from the candidate image(s) based on a trajectory, on the display screen, of a tracing operation as the touch operation performed on the operation surface, and presents tactile sensation by the vibration presentation unit when reaching the next selected image.
Input terminal device and operation input method
This input terminal device 1 for receiving a user operation via a position input object PS is provided with: a position detection unit 106 which detects the position of the position input object; a display unit 109a which displays a cursor; and an operation processing control unit 1024 which causes operation processing to be performed. The operation processing control unit has a plurality of operation modes and one of these modes includes a state M0 in which the operation processing control unit does not cause any operation processing to be performed, except for movement of the cursor in accordance with the position of the position input object. The operation processing control unit is configured to switch between the plurality of operation modes when the user has performed a specific operation by means of the position input object.
CHARACTER INPUT METHOD, INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM
